In the spring of 2022, the composer Hans Zimmer set off on a triumphant European tour, for which he wrote new arrangements of pieces from the most iconic films of his career. This double album opens with an extract from his most recent blockbuster, Denis Villeneuve's Dune ('House Atreides'). A distinctly spiritual, guttural voice takes centre stage for this piece - one of the main gimmicks of the soundtrack as a whole. The first part of this double album proceeds with excerpts from other Hollywood highlights, including the impressive Wonder Woman Suite, where a powerful female chorus challenges clichés surrounding music in American action films. Long time fans will appreciate the extended suites from two Zimmer classics: Gladiator (featuring the voice of Lisa Gerrard) and Pirates of the Carribbean.

The second disc features another of Zimmers triumphs, The Lion King, which won him an Oscar in 1994. The more minimalist (and somewhat liturgical) soundtrack to Christopher Nolan's Interstellar has pride of place on this album, alongside his robust soundtracks for The Last Samurai and The Dark Knight. Zimmer's sparkling reinvention of the famous James Bond theme is also worth a listen ('No Time To Die Suite'). Alongside his 20-piece band 'The Disruptive Collective', as well as the orchestra and choir of the Odessa Opera, the German-born composer is at the top of his game here, skillfully mixing classical arrangements, rock elements and synthesisers.

The career-spanning project - issued across five CDs or, in condensed form, three LPs - collects material recorded by the U.K. radio giant between 1970 and 1998. Most of it's new to fans, and almost all of it is essential listening for die-hards.

Even though there are some major gaps in the chronology (only one track between the crucial prog years of 1972 and 1978, nothing between the slicker stretch of 1980 to 1987), BBC Broadcasts still presents a solid overview of the Genesis evolution. It opens with a trio of previously released non-album tracks (the dainty, folky "Shepherd," "Pacidy" and "Let Us Now Make Love") recorded in 1970 for the Night Ride program. It ends during a live show from the widely ignored Calling All Stations era, with two dramatic tracks ("Not About Us," "Dividing Line") fronted by the briefly tenured Ray Wilson in 1998.

The difference between Blood, Sweat & Tears and the group's preceding long-player, Child Is Father to the Man, is the difference between a monumental seller and a record that was "merely" a huge critical success. Arguably, the Blood, Sweat & Tears that made this self-titled second album -- consisting of five of the eight original members and four newcomers, including singer David Clayton-Thomas -- was really a different group from the one that made Child Is Father to the Man, which was done largely under the direction of singer/songwriter/keyboard player/arranger Al Kooper. They had certain similarities to the original: the musical mixture of classical, jazz, and rock elements was still apparent, and the interplay between the horns and the keyboards was still occurring, even if those instruments were being played by different people. Kooper was even still present as an arranger on two tracks, notably the initial hit "You've Made Me So Very Happy." But the second BS&T, under the aegis of producer James William Guercio, was a less adventurous unit, and, as fronted by Clayton-Thomas, a far more commercial one. Not only did the album contain three songs that neared the top of the charts as singles -- "Happy," "Spinning Wheel," and "And When I Die" -- but the whole album, including an arrangement of "God Bless the Child" and the radical rewrite of Traffic's "Smiling Phases," was wonderfully accessible. Made popular in 1950s Britain, Skiffle has proved itself to be the gateway for many of music's most legendary artists. Even the likes of Jimmy Page and David Bowie started side by side with guys using washboards, empty jugs and washtubs as instruments. Perhaps the novelty of these images is to blame for it being so misunderstood, however 'Moving On Skiffle' is here to correct that and to cure us of this collective amnesia.

There is a palpable energy that runs through the heart of this album. You can feel the passion for the music and the enjoyment he and the band must have felt while recording it. It's a rare collection of songs one can confidently say will sound bigger, better and full of fun live on stage. They are a collection of songs made for a live audience. Songs wrongly forgotten in time, reshaped, revitalized, and restored for us today. It's a love letter to skiffle and a respectful nod to those who came before him - and it will undoubtedly go down as Van Morrison's best work for some time.

Demons Down, a new band featuring two talented up-and-coming musicians, vocalist James Robledo (Sinner's Blood) and guitarist Francesco Savino (False Memories), along with hard rock scene veterans guitarist Jimi Bell (House of Lords, Autograph), drummer Ken Mary (ex-House of Lords, Alice Cooper, Fifth Angel, etc.), and bassist Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot, bass, ex-House of Lords, etc.). Their debut album, "I Stand" sees this gathering of young performers and established skill players delivering a quintessential classic hard rock album.
Demons Down traffics in a hard rock sound that references the late '80s/early '90s movement where massive hooks, huge melodies, and lush keyboards were the order of the day. But this is no simple exercise in paying tribute to yesteryear as the music rocks hard to compliment the vocal talents of Robledo (who has, sonically, been compared to the likes of Jorn Lande and Russell Allen). With this live performance, Günter, best known for being the keyboardist of German progressive metallers Vanden Plas, fulfilled one of his long desired wishes to compose an orchestral piece in the traditional format of the genre. This stunning concert, featuring Vanden Plas, showcases a spectacular fusion of classical music and progressive rock.
In Günter's own words, here is how "Anima One" came to be: "On Jan 11, 2019, Vanden Plas performed Jon Lord's "Concerto for Group and Orchestra" at Fruchthalle Kaiserslautern. Christoph Dammann, the culture officer for the venue, came to me and asked if we could do something like this again, but instead of covering someone else's work, he asked if I would write an original composition. This was a challenge for me as I had written orchestrations to rock, pop, and musical songs before, but never for an orchestra in the classic form of three movements. But, before I had even left the building after our conversation, I already had the first tune in my head, which ultimately became the intro of the first movement. I freely played around with tunes and themes and finally found the suitable way forward for me from there.
After composing music on the piano and a sequencer program, I finally wrote the sheet music part by part. To watch it unfold like this gave me another idea for some instruments, and so I did some final adjustments during this process.
And with the performance on May 13, 2022, a dream came true for me. A nice conclusion to an extraordinary journey for me. I hope it will be one for the listener too."

Shadow Of The Moon was a milestone album. It encompasses everything that Blackmore's Night stand for to this day: beautiful melodies and warm atmospheres that are able to reach the soul as well as joyful songs to dance to and to celebrate. Those who really understood Ritchie Blackmore´s music in his rock years, could immediately find the essence of his greatness in Blackmore´s Night, supported by lyrics that fit his music more than ever before.

The album was converted in HD audio from the original recording, and it has been fully remixed, allowing the original performance to shine in its original glory. Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of The Banishment to the label. The band, a collaboration between guitarist George Lynch (Lynch Mob, The End Machine, ex-Dokken) and programmer and multi-instrumentalist Joe Haze that started in 2011, and since 2020, has also included L.A. based artist/vocalist Devix Szell, release their debut album, "Machine And Bone" on March , 2023.
"Machine And Bone", which features guest vocal appearances from Richard Patrick (Filter) and Tommy Victor (Prong), is a brooding, heavy industrial album with explosions of Lynch's bluesy and psychotic guitar licks.
George Lynch emerged from the '80s hard rock scene with the L.A. based group Dokken and went on to become a world renowned guitarist. Aside from Dokken, he also enjoyed great success with Lynch Mob, the group he founded after leaving Dokken. Lynch has gone on to become a prolific (that is an understatement, to say the least) music creator, continuing with Lynch Mob, releasing solo albums, and a wealth of collaborative efforts over the decades. Those include, but are not limited to, KXM with dug Pinnick (King's X) and Ray Luzier (Korn), The End Machine with Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, ex-Dokken), Mick Brown (ex-Dokken), and Robert Mason (Warrant), Sweet & Lynch with Michael Sweet (Stryper), Ultraphonix with Corey Glover (Living Colour), Dirty Shirley with Dino Jelusick (Animal Drive, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), and many more. The Banishment sees Lynch continuing to expand the boundaries of his musical creativity, pushing himself into darker, more subliminal, and chaotic territory.
With production credits in the realms of rock, industrial, jazz, pop, and even reggae, Joe Haze is an incredibly versatile producer, engineer, mixer, remixer, guitarist, and programmer. In the last few years, he has brought his skills to the forefront of the industrial music scene, working prominently with the supergroup Primitive Race - first as a remixer and then producing the band's sophomore album, Soul Pretender - and as a member of the live lineup of Lords of Acid, touring with the band most recently on the 2017 Sextreme Fest Tour. He is currently in the studio working on an upcoming album from Primitive Race member and former Faith No More singer, the late Chuck Mosley.
Devix Szell is an American artist, singer, musician, producer, and songwriter. Szell was born in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora and spent his adolescence practicing guitar, writing original music, and playing experimental noise shows with local punk bands. He has spent time in bands like Stayte, The Narcosis Design, MomenTem and Symbolism, which featured former members of Samhain and Christian Death. He also contributed and composed scores for Catherine Hardwicke's psycho thriller rock opera "Plush", Jamie Deacon's "Way To Blue", and Susanne Landau's "Stick and Poke". He has also made his directorial debut with The Banishment's first music video, 'Got What You Wanted'. As a performer, Szell is earnest and chaotic, his voice haunting, powerful, and soul-stirring, with a stage presence that is mesmerizing and dramatic.

Seventh Crystal, who stormed on the melodic rock scene in 2021 with their stunning debut album "Delirium", have announced the release of their second full-length, "Wonderland". Picking up where their debut left off, but taking everything up a level (or two, really), "Wonderland" sees the bands taking the unique formula that worked so well for them and expanding upon it. This is melodic rock for the 21st century.
Seventh Crystal is a stunning new rock band from the fertile Swedish music scene that was put together by singer Kristian Fyhr (Perpetual Etude). Initially, Kristian wanted to pursue a solo project. but when the songs started to take form, he realized he wanted to involve more musicians. So, he moved to vocals only and brought in Johan Älvsång (Pinstripe Conspiracy, Lamashtu) on keyboards/piano and Olof Gadd (Osukaru) on bass as the first key pieces, and then recruited Anton Roos on drums and Emil Dornerus on guitar to complete the line-up. After the release of their debut album, Gustav Linde joined the band as their second guitarist.
Seventh Crystal's music can best be described as arena rock with melodic rock influences. If you love the new wave of Scandinavian hard rock embodied by the likes of One Desire, H.E.A.T., and other bands who bring a huge sense of melody to modern rock, then this band is going to be right up your alley. And, certainly, "Wonderland" will be a MUST HEAR for you.

One of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' continues to find new audiences globally. The album was partly developed during live performances, and the band premiered an early version of the suite at London's Rainbow Theatre several months before recording began. 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in the US on 1 March and then in the UK on 16th March 1973. The new material was recorded in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London. The iconic sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis and drawn by George Hardie. 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' has sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

The new deluxe box set includes CD and gatefold vinyl of the new 2023 remastered studio album and Blu-Ray + DVD audio featuring the original 5.1 mix and remastered stereo versions. The set also includes additional new Blu-ray disc of Atmos mix plus CD and LP of 'The Dark Side Of The Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974'.
