Stuck on common ground is the debut album of the Italian Power Trio hijss.
With a mixture of heavy blues influenced riffs and synthesized Krautrock parts hijss tries to create a high dynamic range that will keep your attention at all time.
On top of gritty basslines and ferocious drums lie cosmic guitars, tantalizing vocals and arpeggiated electronic drones.
All three band members come from a vast musical background. Their common denominator is with out a doubt a punkish attitude.
The album was produced by Toni Quiroga and hijss, drums were recorded at Nologo Recording Studio, Laives by "holy barbarian" Fabio Sforza.
Engineered, mixed and mastered at accept productions by Toni Quiroga, album cover by Luca Guarino.

"Sonic Rebirth" begins where the first album ended, both musically and lyrically. Vocalist Vladimir Lalic once again begins with the words "I Am Here", which also mark the first and last words on the first album "Sonic Birth". "Sonic Rebirth" marks the logical continuation of its predecessor "Sonic Birth", and can be understood as the second part of a musical, lyrical and overall sonic concept.

With this record to already be the second concept album released by TPSC listeners can find elements they might recognize from the first album such as quotes, references, motifs and melodies besides a lot of new elements. Thematically, both "Sonic Birth" and "Sonic Rebirth" touch on the topic of human development and technology, visually characterized by the robot embryo as a major part of the artwork on both album covers.

Conceptionally „Sonic Rebirth" consists of a total of eight parts. The tracks are simply entitled Parts I-VIII, but they also have their individual song titles attached. The tracks blend into each other so that the listener can get immersed into futuristic soundscapes and has an uninterrupted and progressive listening experience.

The younger expressions in Metal, Hard Rock and Rock 'n' Roll can sound hard to be swallowed by a great part of fans of Old School genres, but no one can deny when a band or musician is working on a higher level of quality, or when the result is something really good. Love it or hate it, one can't deny if things are good or not, it's a matter of maturity when one is able to do it. And to deal with "Higher Power", the latest solo album of Scott Stapp, demands a lot of detachment of early opinions. The production was done by Marti Frederiksen and Scott Stevens, with co-production by Scott himself. The sonority of "Higher Power" is abrasive, modern and heavy, but always done with care to make things understandable, and as everyone can expect of Scott's music, his level of exigency boosts things up to a high level. And the mixing of Chris Baseford and the mastering of Ted Jensen complete things up.

Musically, it's not a sin to say that "Higher Power" fits on modern tendencies into Metal and Rock, but in a way that is different. Imagine if a band as SLIPKNOT or KILLSWITCH ENGAGE would play Hard Rock, or known acts as KANSAS and JOURNEY could play into a modern Metal tendency. Influences of Hard Rock, Country Rock (as heard on "When Love is Not Enough"), Rock, Metal and more is into the mix. And Scott has the presence of Steve McEwan on some credits, along with the guests musicians Dorothy (a Hard Rock star) on "If These Walls Could Talk", and the guitar hero Yiannis Papadopoulos on the six strings on "What I Deserve" and "Quicksand". Trying to speak straight: this album can go from introspective moments (as heard on "What I Deserve") to frantic ones.

It's clear that the fans will ask if "Higher Power" has resemblances with CREED or with ART OF ANARCHY. The answer is that works with Scott can have the same features, but here is a different whole new world.

Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters follows Romero's first two solo albums, both covers albums. 2023's 'Raised On Heavy Radio' saw Romero paying tribute to legendary artists from the metal world like Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, Metallica, and more. It also featured special guests like Gus G. (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Spirits Of Fire), Roland Grapow (Masterplan, Helloween), and more. Romero's first solo album, "Raised On Radio", featured covers of classics that meant something special to Romero over the years and helped forge this talented singer's musical style. Along with the Four Seasons, Jay & the Americans were one of the key groups that kept the vocal group sounds of the 1950s alive in the '60s. They gave the traditions of doo wop harmony an update that lent them a more contemporary sound as pop music changed in the '60s, while still upholding a clean-cut show biz persona that was a contrast to the more rebellious styles of the day. The anchor of the group's style was lead singer Jay Black; he wasn't their original frontman, but the operatic range and brio of his instrument were the cornerstones of hits like "Cara Mia," "Only in America," and "Come a Little Bit Closer." Best appreciated as a singles act, their finest moments are collected on 1990's Come a Little Bit Closer: The Best of Jay & the Americans. 1966's Sunday and Me was one of the best of their original albums, and 1969's Sands of Time was an attempt to fuse traditionalism with contemporary trends.
