The origins of Idol Lord began on the south bay beaches just south of Los Angeles, where the sounds of Black Flag, The Circle Jerks and RKL were as common as Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, and Black Oak Arkansas. Forged by surf, skate, punk, metal and classic rock, the members slowly started moving northward into the less densely populated area of the high desert of northern Los Angeles county.
Based out of the small, high desert community of Quartz Hill, Ca. Idol Lord has fused it's classic rock childhood, punk rock adolescence and metal adulthood into it's own unique brand of fuzzed out stoner/desert rock.
The album is saturated with a deep, heavy fuzz, and the band is very proud that this release will be featured on 12" vinyl as well as being available for streaming on all major platforms.

'Reunion Live' reunites three guitar giants for a sonic celebration that renews a tradition stretching back to 1996. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson inaugurated the G3 concept 28 years ago which put them on stage together for the first time ever. The G3 tour line up changed over the years, but in 2024, the original G3 reunited for a sold-out run of dates in the US. That experience is embodied in G3 'Reunion Live' (and much more than 'just' a live album). The format of the tour is mirrored here with a full set from each guitarist with their own band, followed by a full-on jam featuring all three. The individual repertoire is comprised of signature tunes from each guitarist such as Joe's 'Sahara', Steve's 'For the Love of God' and Eric's 'Cliffs of Dover'. The encore jam features covers from the likes of Hendrix and Clapton.

Supertramp came into their own on their third album, 1974's Crime of the Century, as their lineup gelled but, more importantly, so did their sound. The group still betrayed a heavy Pink Floyd influence, particularly in its expansive art rock arrangements graced by saxophones, but Supertramp isn't nearly as spooky as Floyd -- they're snarky collegiate elitists, an art rock variation on Steely Dan or perhaps a less difficult 10cc, filled with cutting jokes and allusions, best heard on "Bloody Well Right." This streak would later flourish on Breakfast in America, but it's present enough to give them their own character. Also present is a slight sentimental streak and a heavy fondness for pop, heard on "Dreamer," a soaring piece of art pop that became their first big hit. That and "Bloody Well Right" are the concise pop moments on the record; the rest of Crime of the Century is atmospheric like Dark Side of the Moon, but with a lighter feel and a Beatles bent. At times the album floats off into its own world, with an effect more tedious than hypnotic, but it's still a huge leap forward for the group and their most consistent album outside of that 1979 masterwork, Breakfast in America.

Between records like Relentless and Show 'Em How, Pentagram have never wanted for self-awareness in terms of album titles. The gauntlet thrown down by Lightning in a Bottle is very much in this tradition.

The 10th Pentagram album sees founding frontman and doom figurehead Bobby Liebling leading a new cast of players that includes guitarist/producer Tony Reed (Mos Generator, Big Scenic Nowhere, etc.), drummer Henry Vasquez (Legions of Doom, Saint Vitus, Blood of the Sun, etc.) and bassist Scooter Haslip (Mos Generator, Saltine). It would be hard to overstate the energy the new band brings to songs like "Live Again," "Solve the Puzzle" or "In the Panic Room," but Lightning in a Bottle is unmistakably a Pentagram record, of course in Liebling's unremittingly charismatic performance and the groove conjured to back it.

Recorded with Reed at the helm, Lightning in a Bottle recalls the best of what has allowed Pentagram to cast an influence across decades and generations of musicians, bands, and worshippers of Riff

Marko Hietala has been synonymous with quality for more than four decades.
