High Voltage is the first internationally released studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It contains tracks from their first two previous Australia-only issued albums: High Voltage and T.N.T. (both from 1975).

Originally released internationally on 30 April 1976 on Atlantic Records and in the US on 14 May 1976 on ATCO Records, this edition of High Voltage has proven popular, selling three million units in the US alone. However, initially the album was panned by some critics upon its release, including a review by Rolling Stone magazine's Billy Altman that called it an "all-time low" for the hard rock genre.[1] It was re-released in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series.

Powerage is the fifth studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It was the band's fourth studio album released internationally and the fifth to be released in Australia. Who Made Who served as the soundtrack to the Stephen King film Maximum Overdrive, mixing three new tracks (two of them instrumentals) with popular selections from their catalog. Little mention is made of the movie itself (a small blurb on the back cover tells us this is "the official soundtrack from the Stephen King film Maximum Overdrive"), as Atlantic was likely content to let consumers perceive this as the next release from AC/DC. (The movie, to paraphrase the immortal Homer J., was the "suckiest bunch of trucks that ever sucked.") The three new tracks were recorded in the same studio as Back In Black with producers Harry Vanda and George Young; the instrumentals are a cut above your usual soundtrack music, and "Who Made Who" rocks. Who Made Who was as close as AC/DC had come to releasing a greatest hits record, and some fans took it as such, gorging on the band's greatness. I've read elsewhere that Stephen King picked these songs himself (to be taken with the usual grain of salt), and crabsodyinblue.com notes that the version of "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)" was remixed for this movie (I can't corroborate since I don't have the original). Just something to chew on, since the first theory would explain the inclusion of "Ride On," the second why "For Those About To Rock" sounds so crisp and calculated to my ears. In all honesty, Who Made Who doesn't function any better as a catch-all of hits than Back In Black. The inclusion of "Sink The Pink" and "Shake Your Foundations" from Fly On The Wall is self-serving, the two new instrumentals largely unnecessary, and the packaging stingy (as most soundtracks are). But compared to the lackluster movie, it's clear who the real kings are.

"On paper, Who Made Who is just a cheap soundtrack to a cheap movie (Stephen King's disastrous Maximum Overdrive), but it's actually much more than that. It serves as a ripping AC/DC retrospective, tearing through such classics as "You Shook Me All Night Long" and "For Those About to Rock," adding the pounding title track to the band's canon, and rescuing overlooked songs like "Sink the Pink" from otherwise mediocre albums. It's not a perfect retrospective -- there's no "Back in Black," "Highway to Hell," or "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" -- but what is here is terrific." (Stephen Thomas Erlewine, AMG)

When Malcolm Young and his younger brother Angus brought Bon Scott on board as AC/DC's lead vocalist, the slightly older Bon was still known as a bit of pop singer for his work with The Valentines. The Bon that emerged-the true Bon-was a whip-smart hellion with a voice and onstage charisma that could churn both wizened bikers and naive teenagers into a frenzy. His 1980 passing was a huge blow to the band but his life is celebrated in this digital box set. The biggest draw here might be the Live from the Atlantic Sessions, recorded at the New York Atlantic Studios in 1977. You can practically smell smoke rising from the over-worked amps on tracks like "Problem Child" and "High Voltage." Also included is an off-the-rails live set recorded two years later in Paris during the Highway to Hell tour. A handful of demos and early versions add extra flavor (most notably "Dirty Eyes," which is basically "Whole Lotta Rosie" with different lyrics). Jethro Tull released Stormwatch in September 1979, completing a folk-rock 'trilogy' the band started with Songs from the Wood in 1977 and continued the following year with Heavy Horses (both of which have already been reissued). Stormwatch was the final album to feature the classic late-1970s Jethro Tull lineup, which included Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Glascock, John Evan, David (now Dee) Palmer and Barriemore Barlow.

This 40th anniversary edition is a 4CD+2xDVD package. The album has been remixed by Steven Wilson, with his stereo mix appearing on the first CD and a new 5.1 surround mix housed on one of the two DVDs.

Nuthin' Fancy is the third studio album by the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, released in 1975. It was their first to reach the Top 10, peaking at #9 on the U.S. album chart. Greek symphonic death metal masters SEPTICFLESH released their "Infernus Sinfonica MMXIX" performance on July 31 via Season Of Mist. The full concert was in February 2019 a show at the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City. The unforgettable night was the largest production of its kind at the venue, which included the band, over 100 musicians from the Symphonic Experience Orchestra, the Enharmonia Vocalis Choir, and the National University of Mexico Children's and Youth Choir.

The first Lionheart album Hot Tonight was released in 1984. Unfortunately the band broke-up a couple of years after its release. The core members of Lionheart moved on to other projects. Guitarist Steve Mann and bassist Rocky Newton joined the McAuley Schenker Group, while second guitarist Dennis Stratton joined Pryaing Mantis.

Lionheart reunited in 2016 for a festival show rounded out with new members Clive Edwards (ex-UFO) on drums and Lee Small (ex-Shy) on vocals. They released their comeback album Second Nature in 2017. 2020 sees the released of Lionheart's third full-length album The Reality of Miracles.

Seven-time GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette released ninth album, SUCH PRETTY FORKS IN THE ROAD, on July 31 of this year. Alanis has already released "Reasons I Drink," "Smiling" and "Diagnosis" from the forthcoming album.

Morissette had been working on the album since at least mid-2017. In August 2017 on Anna Faris' podcast Unqualified, Morissette revealed the name of a new song called "Reckoning". She described this song as "patriarchy falling down", and said it was in reference to her day in court in regards to the trial in which others were accused of embezzling from her.

In early October 2017, on her own podcast Conversation with Alanis Morissette, she detailed a new song called "Diagnosis",[8] in which she describes postpartum depression and how she felt better when she knew what was going on with herself. Later that month at the tribute concert Linkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington, Morissette was invited as a guest to perform "Castle of Glass" and a new song of hers called "Rest." She said that she had been working with Mike Farrell and writing new demos.

Arctic Rain is, quite simply, a new melodic rock sensation from Sweden. The band is a result of the collaboration between songwriter/keyboardist Pete Alpenborg, guitarist Magnus Berglund, and singer Tobias Jonsson. Later on, bassist Gert Daun and drummer Jonas Jonsson joined forces with Arctic Rain for the recording of their upcoming debut album, 'The One'. The aim for the band was to write songs with strong melodic rock vibes based around the type of tasteful instrumental harmonies typical for a lot of bands in the '80s and '90s. A revival of sorts, but with a modern touch, both melodically and for the overall sound.

"With influences like Whitesnake, Mr Big, Foreigner, Talisman, Def Leppard, TOTO, Treat, Dokken, White Lion, Journey, and so many other great bands, we believe the result of our album is somewhat a distillation of our combined interpretation of that era of music," says guitarist Magnus Beglund. "In late 2018, a demo recording was made and sent out to a number of record labels, and the response was very promising and we ended up signing with the label that was on top of our list!"

Exodus was the ninth studio album by Bob Marley and the Wailers and their first release to move away from cryptic storytelling to songs explicitly about change, religious politics and sex. Incorporating elements of blues, soul and British rock and funk with their signature reggae sound, Time magazine named Exodus the best album of the 20th century in 1999.
Recorded in London following an attempt on his life, Exodus shows Bob Marley mellowing a bit. Despite some powerful political tracks, Marley adopts a less fiery, more reflective approach than his previous outings. Still, it's hard to find reggae as good as this. Exodus has all one would expect from a Bob Marley album: rumbling statements like "Exodus" and "The Heathen" as well as poetic love songs like "Turn Your Lights Down Low." Considering how good these tracks are, Exodus does not stop here. Marley also unleashed the huge international hits "Jamming," "Waiting in Vain," and "One Love/People Get Ready." These inspired tracks, perhaps more than any others, came to define Marley around the world. They are irresistible no matter how many times they are played. Never one to dodge innovation, "Exodus" hints that Marley was taking cues from the emerging dub scene. Exodus, even though it contains some of Marley's best work, has an underlying nostalgic feel to it, hinting that Marley was getting a little formulaic.

Live at Donington 1990 is a live album by English hard rock band Whitesnake. It was recorded at Castle Donington on 18 August 1990 during the Monsters of Rock festival, which the band headlined.

A remastered 17 track collection of the band's entire performance, digitally. All of the songs from the performance have been remastered. This new digital collection includes a mix of hits and deep tracks, including "Is This Love" from Whitesnake's multi-platinum self-titled album and the #1 smash "Here I Go Again." There are also four instrumental tracks that feature virtuosic guitar solos including, "Adagio for Strato," "Flying Dutchman Boogie," "For The Love Of God," "The Audience Is Listening" and an explosive drum solo from the extraordinary Tommy Aldridge.

The Killers have never been a band to do things by half, going all the way back to the arch '80s dancefloor drama of their 2004 debut Hot Fuss. Since then, they've evolved into a big-no, big isn't even a big enough word: massive, capacious, monumental-sound that evokes Bono waving the white flag or Springsteen throwing his Telecaster high above his head. Imploding The Mirage continues that grand tradition, with a few intriguing left turns. Opener "My Own Soul's Warning" starts off spacey and loose before breaking into a big, gorgeous keyboard landscape. "But then I thought I could fly/ And when I hit the ground/ It made a messed-up sound," Brandon Flowers wails in his no-rough-edges clarion call. (Applicable adjective: heart-rending.) "Blowback" gallops with horsepower. Lindsey Buckingham delivers showy guitar bombast on "Caution." "Dying Breed" steadily clicks along, factory-like, before kicking through the roof to expose the whole sky. The atmospheric allusions are apropos: The album was made in Flowers' adopted home state of Utah and the singer has said that, while recording, he noticed the "geography matching the sensation" of the music. "Lightning Fields" is as huge as what precedes it, but riding a fascinating wave of moodiness and given lift by a k.d. lang guest vocal turn. "Fire in Bone" struts in on a funky bass, while Flowers tries out Talking Heads' new-wave angularity. Songs like "My God" and "When the Dreams Run Dry" show how the band's synth stylings-more prevalent here than in years-have drifted to dreamy new places. UK doom-metal band. The band was formed by vocalist Lee Dorrian and guitarist (and later bassist) Mark Griffiths, who met at a Carcass show and discovered they both shared a love of doom metal. Cathedral's sound progressed gradually from incredibly slow, dirge-like lengthy arrangements on their debut album Forest Of Equilibrium to Black Sabbath inspired heavy metal. The band's early years was fraught with membership changes but Dorrian and co-founding guitarist Garry Jennings remained with the band throughout their entire run. In 2013, after 24 years years together, Dorrian and Jennings put the band to rest.
