Available exclusively through thedoors.com and Rhino.com, the set "THE DOORS - IMMERSED 1967-1971" includes Dolby ATMOS, 5.1 surround, and high-resolution stereo (192/24), alongside remixes in 5.1 surround sound and immersive 12-channel Dolby Atmos versions of The Doors, Strange Days, Waiting for the Sun, The Soft Parade, Morrison Hotel, and L.A.Woman. Each disc is housed in a mini-jacket with the original album artwork.

Bruce Botnick, the band's longtime engineer and mixer, created the immersive mixes, and in a short note in the set shared, "With Atmos, having loudspeakers on the ceiling allows 'Riders on the Storm' to come alive with rain and thunder, and on 'Horse Latitudes,' it highlights the theatrical claustrophobia of Jim's poetry."

Spanning 1967 to 1971, the set's six albums trace The Doors' evolution from the chart-topping single "Light My Fire" to the gritty blues of L.A.Woman. In just five years, the band pushed the boundaries of rock with its poetic lyricism and adventurous arrangements. More than half a century later, those albums comprise one of the most commercially successful and artistically daring catalogs of the era.

New "Inversions" of drone rock pioneers Earth's debut release. A collaboration between Dylan Carlson and Black Noi$e (Armand Hammer, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt) formed in mutual respect and appreciation for one another. Both artists were intrigued by the creation of vast musical landscapes and the connection of music, with its ability to transport the listener. The music of Earth was recognised and celebrated for moving at a glacial pace and yet this new collaboration surprisingly saw Black Noi$e slowing things down even further.

'Extra Capsular Extraction' was the first music Dylan made with Earth and his first time in a recording studio, which he recalls at the time as being "terribly exciting". It also marked the first time collaborating with others and seeing it reified into a tangible object or product, a spirit that Dylan has carried through to the present. The original album is a document of a specific period and Dylan's creative development. These inversions of Extra Capsular Extraction are, to quote Dylan, "an exciting way to reintegrate them into the present time and with my more expanded conceptions of musical endeavours".

Nestled between the accomplished Crime of the Century album and 1977's Even in the Quietest Moments, Crisis? What Crisis? may not have given the band any chart success, but it did help them capture a fan base that had no concern for Supertramp's commercial sound. With Rick Davies showing off his talent on the keyboards, and Roger Hodgson's vocals soaring on almost every track, they managed to win back their earlier progressive audience while gaining new fans at the same time. Crisis received extensive air play on FM stations, especially in Britain, and the album made it into the Top 20 there and fell just outside the Top 40 in the U.S. "Ain't Nobody But Me," "Easy Does It," and the beautiful "Sister Moonshine" highlight Supertramp's buoyant and brisk instrumental and vocal alliance, while John Helliwell's saxophone gives the album even greater width. The songwriting is sharp, attentive, and passionate, and the lyrics showcase Supertramp's ease at invoking emotion into their music, which would be taken to even greater heights in albums to come. Even simple tracks like "Lady" and "Just a Normal Day" blend in nicely with the album's warm personality and charmingly subtle mood. Although the tracks aren't overly contagious or hook laden, there's still a work-in-process type of appeal spread through the cuts, which do grow on you over time.

The album "Pictures" symbolises images, paintings and dimensions, and what we place inside and outside them. It draws inspiration from myths and legends, ancient civilisations, our dreams, reality and fiction. It questions our beliefs, fears, needs and fundamental quests. HamaSaari draws from the great names of progressive rock, both old and new - from Pink Floyd to Karnivool, via Oceansize or Black Peaks - as well as from the post-rock, folk and alternative scenes (Other Lives, LANKUM or Birds in Row). Above all, the inspiration comes from music that speaks from the heart and is shared without limits.

Supertramp came into their own on their third album, 1974's Crime of the Century, as their lineup gelled but, more importantly, so did their sound. The group still betrayed a heavy Pink Floyd influence, particularly in its expansive art rock arrangements graced by saxophones, but Supertramp isn't nearly as spooky as Floyd -- they're snarky collegiate elitists, an art rock variation on Steely Dan or perhaps a less difficult 10cc, filled with cutting jokes and allusions, best heard on "Bloody Well Right." This streak would later flourish on Breakfast in America, but it's present enough to give them their own character. Also present is a slight sentimental streak and a heavy fondness for pop, heard on "Dreamer," a soaring piece of art pop that became their first big hit. That and "Bloody Well Right" are the concise pop moments on the record; the rest of Crime of the Century is atmospheric like Dark Side of the Moon, but with a lighter feel and a Beatles bent. At times the album floats off into its own world, with an effect more tedious than hypnotic, but it's still a huge leap forward for the group and their most consistent album outside of that 1979 masterwork, Breakfast in America.
