When Steven Wilson first mixed Lizard in stereo and 5.1 with Robert Fripp in 2009, he commented: "For me Lizard has always been an album that was too big for stereo to contain. I've always felt that if presented in the right way, I could make a case for this being the most experimental rock record ever made. It's extraordinary what they're doing on this album. In terms of fusing free-jazz with progressive rock for me there's almost no parallel."

Now, in 2025, Steven has returned to that album and the new mixes merely serve to confirm that analysis.

Signs, the fourth studio album by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, poignantly addresses some of the major changes this 12-piece group has been through over the last couple of years. That said, it's hardly steeped in sadness, but acknowledges reckoning and acceptance while leaning on hope. In November 2016, longtime friend Leon Russell died. In January, Derek's uncle Butch Trucks committed suicide. In May, mentor Col. Bruce Hampton (to whom Signs is dedicated) suffered a fatal coronary on-stage during his 70th birthday celebration (which Trucks and Tedeschi witnessed). The same month, Gregg Allman died after a years-long battle with liver cancer. And in June, keyboardist Kofi Burbridge suffered a heart attack that required emergency surgery.
These events had an obvious impact on Signs, but it results in their most musically diverse offering yet. Sonically it remains in the band's trademark stew of blues, soul, rock, gospel, and improv, but also showcases a new songwriting sophistication and arranging skills. Co-produced by Trucks, Jim Scott, and Bobby Tis, these 11 tracks engage the full power of TTB beginning with the souled-out opener "Signs, High Times" that places all four singers (Tedeschi, Mike Mattison, Alecia Chakour, and Mark Rivers) alternating up front in a call to rise above the swamp of self-pity. Burbridge's Wurlitzer is distorted and funky, and the horns blare in support as frontline players trade lines across a deep groove. "I'm Gonna Be There" is a gospel tune wherein Tedeschi displays astonishing skill as a vocalist. The lyrics' affirmation in the face of darkness is offered with clean, resonant emotional power, underscored by the backing chorus and intertwining guitars from Trucks and guest Doyle Bramhall II, as well as a string quartet sumptuously arranged by Burbridge. "Walk Through This Life"-co-written with bassist Tim Lefebvre (who has amicably left the group) and Warren Haynes, who joins the backing chorus-is a soaring soul anthem with popping horns and wah-wah guitars that Tedeschi refuses to surrender to, no matter the toll loss extracts. "Still Your Mind" references the need for close community in the midst of life's challenges. Its music careens between garagey rock, loopy R&B, and nearly Baroque psychedelia. (Trucks' guitar break is absolutely unhinged.) "Shame" reveals the band's musical growth and steely grit simultaneously. While Tedeschi digs into her lyric with the commitment of Mavis Staples, tempos shift, horns fold in drama, and Trucks' guitars underscore the lyrics' emotional storm. "They Don't Shine" is an uptempo rave that walks a driving line between Creedence Clearwater Revival and Ike and Tina Turner with Tedeschi wrangling her Stratocaster in the lead guitar chair. "The Ending" is a wrenching Americana elegy for Hampton. Penned by the bandleaders with Oliver Wood, it's about the man, his absence, and the wisdom and magic he imparted during his lifetime. It creates an unexpected yet fitting conclusion to Signs, a recording that will surprise and delight TTB fans as their most adventurous to date. (Thom Jurek, AllMusic

One of the chief calling-cards of the Welsh rock band Stereophonics is their ongoing fidelity to their original sound. Since the group's inception in 1997, Kelly Jones and co have stuck to a recipe that really works, placing a strong guitar attack, pop melodies and Jones's gravelly voice at the heart of their music. Their ninth album, Keep The Village Alive, is no exception to this rule, and the songs the quartet deliver here are all hallmarks of the sound that has made Stereophonics one of the most popular rock bands of recent times. The new album was recorded in a small house in West London, where the Welsh band holed up for a few months to concentrate on songcraft, and to give free rein to the creativity of chief songwriter Kelly Jones. The bandleader co-produced the disc, alongside his sidekick Jim Lowe, and each of the tracks on the record betrays the energy and enthusiasm that we have come, by now, to associate with Stereophonics. Keep The Village Alive is an ideal weapon to conquer the charts with.

Black and Blue is the thirteenth studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 23 April 1976, by Rolling Stones Records.
This album was the first record after former guitarist Mick Taylor quit in December 1974. As he had done the previous time the Stones were between second guitarists in 1968, Keith Richards recorded the bulk of the guitar parts himself, though the album recording sessions also served as an audition for Taylor's replacement. Richards said of the album that it was used for "rehearsing guitar players, that's what that one was about."

Founded in 1964, MC5 was at the forefront of Detroit rock music and influenced many bands to this day. Their raw and powerful debut album, "Kick Out the Jams," was recorded live in Detroit in 1968 and released in 1969. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this milestone release, founding member Wayne Kramer gathered rock and metal greats to embark on a tour in 2018. Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More), Matt Cameron (ex-Pearl Jam), and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerrilla) joined Kramer for the "MC50 - Kick Out the Jams: The 50th Anniversary Tour," which included a show at Fabrik in Hamburg.

The core of the setlist was the "Kick Out the Jams" album, and the "10 More" live album by MC50 will bring back memories of the show, as well as of MC5's rebellious musical adventure.

A furious version of "Call Me Animal" opens the live release. The song, from the second album "Back in the USA," is wild and untamed. It showcases the rebels' heart and Detroit rock roots, resonating with each note.

MC5's musical range is reflected in an intense version of "I Believe to My Soul," a Ray Charles cover. This impressive moment on the album exemplifies the band's musical influences.

The first song from "Kick Out of Jams," "Rocket Reducer No. 62 (Rama Lama Fa-Fa-Fa)," roars out of the speakers in this blistering live interpretation. MC5 was also a political band, as evidenced by the speech before "Looking at You" - a statement for democracy and a call to vote.

The finale is a 12-minute version of "Starship," the closing song from the band's debut album. This jam-like version of an iconic song demonstrates the band's unlimited creativity and the MC50 line-up's ability to build on it with this stunning interpretation.

MC50 and "10 More" - an album that revives the roots of Detroit rock - highlights the importance of a band that shaped rock music and continues to influence bands to this day.

New release of the 2018 album, Yes' alternative take on their 'Fly From Here' opus of 2011. These 2025 versions include a 1CD, 2LP (In a Tip on Sleeve) and an exclusive Super Deluxe Edition Blu Ray featuring a new Atmos mix by Richard Whittaker. Yes recorded the original version of 'Fly from Here' during breaks in touring in 2010 and 2011, during which they enlisted former Yes frontman Trevor Horn as producer. The original received mixed reviews and peaked at No. 30 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 36 on the US Billboard 200. The alternative version of the album titled 'Fly from Here - Return Trip' features the classic 'Drama' era line- up who were reunited in 2018 to create a new version featuring all new vocals from Trevor Horn plus new instrumental parts, alongside a more organic mix highlighting Chris Squire's unique voice and bass contributions as well as additional parts from Steve Howe and Geoff Downes.

The original album was released on 25 March 2018 during the band's 50th anniversary tour and includes the six-part title track, the full version of Hour of Need, and album outtake 'Don't Take No for An Answer'. The Blu Ray features a new Atmos mix by Richard Whittaker as well as 5.1 / Stereo / Atmos Instrumental / 5.1 Instrumental / Stereo instrumental / Original Stereo mixes.
