Comateens released a set that covers most of their officially released recordings. It's titled simply 1980 - 1985 and out via France's Tricatel label on November 29. The band initally formed in the late '70s in New York, and mixed punk, new wave avant-garde, and no wave. They released four albums before breaking up in the mid '80s.

Fresh Cream is the first album by Cream, released in 1966. Laid down at the height of the UK blues boom, Fresh Cream covers the kind of territory you might expect from three of the most respected players on the scene at the time. With Clapton fresh just from his time with John Mayall, Ginger Baker leaving behind the R'n'B backwaters of Graham Bond Organisation, and a woefully under-employed Jack Bruce hightailing it from the increasingly pop-leaning Manfred Mann, the electric blues was their natural turf.
Highlights include the racing harmonica work-out, and the call and response excitements on Muddy Waters' "Rollin' and Tumblin'", a spine-tingled vocal on the Willie Dixon classic, "Spoonful", as well as the self-penned "Sleepy Time Time" which gives Clapton a free hand to wake up all and sundry. The traditional standard, "Cat's Squirrel" is given a rousing treatment, showing how well these players meshed.

The Who has one of the greatest rock legacies in music history, they're one of the all-time great live bands, have sold over 100 million records world including 9 US & 10 UK top ten albums and 14 UK top ten singles in a career spanning six decades.

Now Fifty-five years after they made their first recordings, The Who is back with their first new album in thirteen years entitled WHO for released on 22nd November 2019 and is preceded by BALL AND CHAIN.

The eleven-track album was mostly recorded in London and Los Angeles during Spring and Summer 2019 and was co-produced by Pete Townshend & D. Sardy (who has worked with Noel Gallagher, Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, Gorillaz) with vocal production by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Roger Daltrey, Wilko Johnson).

Singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend are joined on the album by long-time Who drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino along with contributions from Simon Townshend, Benmont Tench, Carla Azar, Joey Waronker and Gordon Giltrap.

Do you remember when albums like TNT's "Intuition" and "Tell No Tales" were regularly played on your stereo? The Norwegian band worked themselves into a musical niche presenting the virtuoso guitar approach from Ronni LeTekro and the soaring vocals of the US singer Tony Harnell as trademarks of a unique melodic rock sound. There is no denying that since the early 90s the story of TNT has gone into a rollercoaster of highs and downs and the recent end of the relationship between Harnell and LeTekro in TNT, unfortunately seems to have put an end to their collaboration and to the band's timeless signature sound. Lovekillers however marks Tony Harnell's return to the soaring vocals and melodic rock sound of the 80s TNT albums. It is an over-the-top and straight ahead way to embrace the classic 80s sound and bring it back with passion and the amazing vocal register that only Harnell can deliver. The resulting album "Lovekillers" is a glossy, polished record with a hint of the regal. Written by Harnell together with Alessandro Del Vecchio together with other skilled writers like Nigel Bailey, Pete Alpenborg, Marco Sivo, Jonas Hornqvist and produced by Del Vecchio, melodic rock won't get any better than this!

Often compared to musical giants such as Within Temptation, Nemesea, and Delain, The Murder of My Sweet are Sweden's significant answer to those revered Dutch acts. Musically, the band's new album follows the path of their previous record, "Beth Out Of Hell", with a more straight-ahead songwriting approach, while still offering the symphonic and cinematic elements the band is now well-known for. "Brave Tin World" showcases a Nordic sound that the members of the band grew up listening to and lyrically takes on issues in tune with our modern day life. "It's a more relaxed and mature album," says producer and drummer Daniel Flores. "We're currently in transition with our songwriting, trying to bring out our identity instead of our chops. Sonically, we've taken a step further too, concentrating on more details than before."

Peter Gabriel is the second solo album by English singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel, released in 1978. The album is the second of four with the same title. It was produced by guitarist Robert Fripp, whose influence is evident in the use of 'Frippertronics' on the track "Exposure".

Recorded over the winter of 1977-78 in the Netherlands and New York City, the second self-titled album was released in June 1978. Robert Fripp, the guitarist on the first record, was promoted to the producer's chair and continued to feed Peter's growing fascination with electronics and new recording techniques. The resulting album is a denser, more experimental album than the debut.

Peter Gabriel is the third eponymous solo album by English rock musician Peter Gabriel, released on 23 May 1980 by Charisma Records. The album has been acclaimed as Gabriel's artistic breakthrough as a solo artist and for establishing him as one of rock's most ambitious and innovative musicians.

Recorded both at his home studio at Ashcombe House, near Bath, and at London's Townhouse Studios, Peter's third self-titled album was produced by Steve Lillywhite. The album saw Peter change his writing style; now the rhythm came before the melody and the songs were built up on top of the rhythmic sequences. The Power to Believe (2003) marks the return of King Crimson for the group's first full-length studio release since ConstruKction of Light (2000). While it draws upon material featured on the live Level Five (2001) and studio Happy with What You Have to Be Happy With (2002) extended-play discs, there are also several new sonic sculptures included. Among them is the title track, which is divided into a series of central thematic motifs much in the same manner as the "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" movements had done in the past. This 21st century schizoid band ably bears the torch of its predecessors with the same ballsy aggression that has informed other seminal King Crimson works -- such as In the Court of the Crimson King (1969), Red (1974), and more recently THRAK (1995). This incarnation of the Mighty Krim includes the excessively talented quartet of Adrian Belew (guitar/vocals), Robert Fripp (guitar), Trey Gunn (Warr guitar/Warr fretless guitar), and Pat Mastelotto (percussion). Under the auspices of Machine -- whose notable productions include post-grunge and industrial medalists Pitchshifter and White Zombie -- the combo unleashes a torrent of alternating sonic belligerence ("Level Five") and inescapable beauty ("Eyes Wide Open"). These extremes are linked as well as juxtaposed by equally challenging soundscapes from Fripp on "The Facts of Life: Intro" as well as Belew's series of "The Power to Believe" haikus. The disc is fleshed out with some choice extended instrumentals such as "Elektrik" and "Dangerous Curves," boasting tricky time signatures that are indelibly linked to equally engaging melodies. Both "Happy With What You Have to Be Happy With" and "Facts of Life" stand out as the (dare say) perfect coalescence of Belew's uncanny Beatlesque lyrical sense with the sort of bare-knuckled, in your face aural attack that has defined King Crimson for over three decades. If the bandmembers' constant tone probing is an active search to find the unwitting consciousness of a decidedly younger, rowdier, and more demanding audience, their collective mission is most assuredly accomplished on The Power to Believe -- even more so than the tripped-out psychedelic prog rock behemoth from whence they initially emerged. ~ Lindsay Planer

Noise Floor is album number three for Spock's 3.0, referring to the third incarnation of the band with a new lead singer. Following the departures of Neal Morse and Nick D'Virgilio as the previous front men, Ted Leonard confidently took the reins with the tour de-force Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep in 2013. Fans of that album will find much to love on this release, too. Indeed, Ted continues to be the star of the show, which is quite a feat given his predecessors and the stellar musicianship provided by this seasoned band. However, the personnel features one prominent shift from the two previous albums: drummer and backing vocalist Jimmy Keegan is absent. Big shoes to fill indeed, and the only logical solution (to quip the band's namesake) is to return to their roots and bring original member Nick D'Virgilio back to the drummer's seat.

Released in 1990, Shaking The Tree is a career-spanning overview of Peter's solo years (up to that point) from the first self-titled album of 1977 up to the 1989 Passion soundtrack with a few curiosities and rarities to grab the ear of the completist. The compilation's title track, a playful duet between Peter and Senegalese superstar Youssou N'Dour, hadn't previously appeared on a Gabriel album, just on Youssou's The Lion album. Here it reappears, albeit it with a new vocal from Peter. Here Comes The Flood, originally from that 1977 debut, is also revisited, this time in a deeply effective (and affecting) piano-and-voice treatment.

Six CDs and one DVD is a lot of Lizzy...but few bands inspire such devotion as Phil Lynott's romantic Irish renegades, and this 2011 set goes a long way in illustrating why. Containing every surviving BBC session Thin Lizzy recorded -- some 18 of them, plus four separate concerts on the CD side of things; the DVD has shows from 1978 and 1983, 13 Top of the Pops performances taped between 1973 and 1981, two Old Grey Whistle Test appearances, and a spot on Three of a Kind in 1982 -- it is a wealth of riches for the Lizzy devotee. There may not be much in the way of revelation - there are no surprising covers and the versions generally follow the same arrangements that are on the studio records - but the intensity level is higher, sometimes resulting in intensely visceral readings that are certainly worth the price of admission. If anything, this generous set proves that for nearly a decade, Thin Lizzy were untouched in creating epic, emotional rock & roll...and if there's any place to hear just how good they were for how long, this is it. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

The 40th Anniversary Edition of Bad Company's 1979 album. Features the hit single Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy. Contains newly remastered audio along with various outtakes and alternate takes of various tracks from the album.

Formed in 1973, the British hard rock outfit Bad Company was a supergroup comprised of ex-King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell, former Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs, and singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, both previous members of Free. Powered by Rodgers' muscular vocals and Ralphs' blues-based guitar work, Bad Company was the first group signed to Led Zeppelin's Swan Song vanity label. Bad Company's eponymous 1974 debut was an international hit, topping the U.S. album charts and scoring with the #1 single Can't Get Enough of Your Love.

DESOLATION ANGELS: 40th ANNIVERSARY EDITION presents unreleased versions of seven album tracks. Highlights include alternate takes for "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy," "Early In The Morning" and "She Brings Me Love." Also, the version "Oh, Atlanta" included here is played at slower tempo and adds a Fender Rhodes keyboard into the mix.

In addition to alternate versions of album tracks, DESOLATION ANGELS: 40th ANNIVERSARY EDITION also features two unreleased outtakes from the sessions. The first is "Smokin' 45." This version is different from the one that appeared on the 1999 compilation, The 'Original' Bad Co. Anthology. The second outtake, "Rock Fever," has never surfaced on any Bad Company release until now.

The British gang arrived like a breath of fresh air with their Mercury Prize nominated debut album Love In The 4th Dimension back in April 2017. Fronted by Juliette Jackson, The Big Moon unleashed song after song fizzing with melody and charm.

Now the Big Moon return with Walking Like We Do which which was recorded in Atlanta alongside Grammy Award winning US Producer Ben H. Allen III (M.I.A./ Deerhunter / Bombay Bicycle Club). It's a massive leap forward in production and songwriting. It's a big pop album and the natural next step forward for the Big Moon.

There's a real variety to Walking Like We Do. The album's opener, It's Easy Then, a chill and shimmering pop tune, is in stark contrast to later tracks, such as Don't Think, which scoops you up into its wild euphoria. Tracks like Waves and ADHD start out slow and thoughtful, then build to an emotional climax. But all of these songs are linked by The Big Moon's honest and endearing lyrics, which are a constant winner throughout the album.

Thirteen years on from 1990's Shaking The Tree compilation, Hit offers a much more voluminous overview of the Gabriel back catalogue.

The 30 track double album is an extensive and eclectic collection of Peter's best known songs, together with, at the time, more recent tracks, previously unreleased material and new remixes, - a musical autobiography of a solo career which had spawned 14 albums over 25 years.

Tracks from the first four Peter Gabriel albums sit alongside key songs from his latter solo albums: So, US and UP. Songs from the Grammy/Oscar nominated soundtracks Passion and Rabbit Proof Fence also feature, as well as Lovetown from the hugely successful multi-artist soundtrack to Philadelphia.

Hit also includes the previously unreleased track Burn You Up, Burn You Down co-written by Gabriel and Karl Wallinger. The track was originally to be included in the UP album but was cut from the final track listing of that album at the last minute. It finally saw the light of day on this album and was also released as a single to support the release of Hit.

The Robbie Robertson/Peter Gabriel mix of I Have The Touch and Steve Osborne's radio mix of The Tower That Ate People appear along with a new live version of Downside Up recorded during the Growing Up Tour and a previously unreleased edit of the haunting Blood of Eden.

The Flea Pit is the brainchild of drummer/comic artist Wily van Haren (1969) and guitarist/singer Harald te Grotenhuis (1972)

The original concept was that And I'll Scratch Yours would serve as a companion piece to Gabriel's 2010 covers album Scratch My Back. The idea was to give the artists whose songs Gabriel covered on Scratch My Back a medium to reciprocate - And I'll Scratch Yours would feature those artists covering Gabriel's songs. However, four of the artists declined to record covers of Gabriel's material. The release version of the album deviated from its initial concept in having two new artists (Feist and Joseph Arthur) contributing covers to the album.

"Rather than make a traditional covers record, I thought it would be much more fun to create a new type of project in which artists communicated with each other and swapped a song for a song, i.e. you do one of mine and I'll do one of yours, hence the title - Scratch My Back - And I'll Scratch Yours."
