Description: In 1970 the Isle of Wight Festival was one of the largest musical events of its time. Bigger than Woodstock, and controversial from the get-go, hundreds of thousands of people descended on the island. Many of those without tickets set up camp on a hill overlooking the festival site, opposing the consumerism of the event and intent on taking the music back by any means necessary. It was a celebration of hippy counter culture gone awry, and in Joni's words "they fed me to the beast". Joni Mitchell took to the stage to deliver an outstanding performance against all odds. At times it was a battle against the audience, as they tore down barriers and shouted obscenities. Her set was interrupted multiple times, including one man invading the stage to try address the crowd. She later commented, "It seemed like an appropriate time to flee...", but still the seemingly fragile folk-rock singer stood her ground. Instead she returned to her piano, sitting on a fold-up wooden chair, and made an impassioned plea for respect from the audience, continuing her set with "My Old Man" she won over the crowd and the atmosphere softened. In response the front page of Melody Maker hailed her with the frontpage headline, "Joni triumphs!". Directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Murray Lerner, Both Sides Now: Live At The Isle of Wight Festival features new interviews with Joni, discussing her recollections of the event intercut with festival footage, both onstage and behind the scenes, offering a fascinating insight into a now legendary concert from the artists point of view and putting the events of the day into context. Alternatively, fans can enjoy the uninterrupted live concert footage featuring classic songs such as "Woodstock", "Both Sides Now" and "Big Yellow Taxi". This was the final film from Murray Lerner, who sadly passed away not long after the films completion.

Description: Lynyrd Skynyrd are currently saying goodbye to the road, but those who'll miss the Southern rock heroes will have a souvenir to remember them when the band's Live in Atlantic City arrives on Sept. 21.
The set documents Skynyrd's June 23, 2006, concert at the Decades Rock Arena, a television studio and performance space inside the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., and broadcast as part of VH1 Classic's Decades Rock Live! series that year. The concept behind the series was to bring rock stars together with artists they've influenced.
On that night, Lynyrd Skynyrd were joined by 3 Doors Down ("That Smell," "Saturday Night Special" and the alternative band's hit "Kryptonite"), Hank Williams Jr. ("Down South Jukin'" and Williams' "Born to Boogie") and American Idol runner-up Bo Bice ("Gimme Back My Bullets" and Bice's "The Real Thing"). All of the acts also performed "Sweet Home Alabama" together near the end of the show.
Live in Atlantic City will be available as a CD/Blu-ray Digipak (with the first run being sold with a fake leather cover), two-LP vinyl set, DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. The home video version adds a bonus featurette called Lynyrd Skynyrd Confidential.
The next date on Lynyrd Skynyrd's Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour is tomorrow night at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Ill. Description: Lynyrd Skynyrd are currently saying goodbye to the road, but those who'll miss the Southern rock heroes will have a souvenir to remember them when the band's Live in Atlantic City arrives on Sept. 21.
The set documents Skynyrd's June 23, 2006, concert at the Decades Rock Arena, a television studio and performance space inside the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., and broadcast as part of VH1 Classic's Decades Rock Live! series that year. The concept behind the series was to bring rock stars together with artists they've influenced.
On that night, Lynyrd Skynyrd were joined by 3 Doors Down ("That Smell," "Saturday Night Special" and the alternative band's hit "Kryptonite"), Hank Williams Jr. ("Down South Jukin'" and Williams' "Born to Boogie") and American Idol runner-up Bo Bice ("Gimme Back My Bullets" and Bice's "The Real Thing"). All of the acts also performed "Sweet Home Alabama" together near the end of the show.
Live in Atlantic City will be available as a CD/Blu-ray Digipak (with the first run being sold with a fake leather cover), two-LP vinyl set, DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. The home video version adds a bonus featurette called Lynyrd Skynyrd Confidential.
The next date on Lynyrd Skynyrd's Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour is tomorrow night at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Ill. They have dates booked through Dec. 8 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Miss. You can see their complete calendar here and the track listing for Live in Atlantic City below.

Description: In 1970 the Isle of Wight Festival was one of the largest musical events of its time. Bigger than Woodstock, and controversial from the get-go, hundreds of thousands of people descended on the island. Many of those without tickets set up camp on a hill overlooking the festival site, opposing the consumerism of the event and intent on taking the music back by any means necessary. It was a celebration of hippy counter culture gone awry, and in Joni's words "they fed me to the beast". Joni Mitchell took to the stage to deliver an outstanding performance against all odds. At times it was a battle against the audience, as they tore down barriers and shouted obscenities. Her set was interrupted multiple times, including one man invading the stage to try address the crowd. She later commented, "It seemed like an appropriate time to flee...", but still the seemingly fragile folk-rock singer stood her ground. Instead she returned to her piano, sitting on a fold-up wooden chair, and made an impassioned plea for respect from the audience, continuing her set with "My Old Man" she won over the crowd and the atmosphere softened. In response the front page of Melody Maker hailed her with the frontpage headline, "Joni triumphs!". Directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Murray Lerner, Both Sides Now: Live At The Isle of Wight Festival features new interviews with Joni, discussing her recollections of the event intercut with festival footage, both onstage and behind the scenes, offering a fascinating insight into a now legendary concert from the artists point of view and putting the events of the day into context. Alternatively, fans can enjoy the uninterrupted live concert footage featuring classic songs such as "Woodstock", "Both Sides Now" and "Big Yellow Taxi". This was the final film from Murray Lerner, who sadly passed away not long after the films completion.

Led Zeppelin will mark their 50th anniversary with a remastered reissue of the soundtrack to their concert film, The Song Remains the Same. The reissue, which comes in a variety of formats with various extras, come out on September 7th; Led Zeppelin played their first-ever gig on September 7th, 1968 under the name the New Yardbirds.

Jimmy Page personally supervised the remastering of the album, which contains recordings from a three-night stint the band played at New York City's Madison Square Garden in the summer of 1973. The performances, which were featured in the 1976 movie of the same name, include a half-hour-long rendition of "Dazed and Confused" and an extended John Bonham drum solo during "Moby Dick."

In October of 2017, hard rock titans Alter Bridge took to the stage of the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London for two very special headline shows.

The definitive version of the legendary 1984 Japan tour is unveiled with fully restored and remastered sound, in a previously unreleased full concert form.

Alcatrazz featuring the star vocalist Graham Bonnet (ex-Rainbow and The Michael Schenker Group) and the young guitar genius Yngwie J. Malmsteen toured Japan in early 1984, and the band's performance at the prestigious Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on 28th January was released in Japan as a home video.

During a thorough excavation of the vaults, the original 24 channel audio multitrack was miraculously discovered - remixes and digital remasterings were made to recreate the sheer brilliance of the original live performance. You will find yourself in the very first row of Nakano Sun Plaza in 1984.

In 2005 Dio was playing to a sold out crowd at the London Astoria, presenting his fans with the concept of playing his iconic album "Holy Diver" front to back in its entirety in front of a live audience for the first time. Description: The definitive version of the legendary 1984 Japan tour is unveiled with fully restored and remastered sound, in a previously unreleased full concert form.
Alcatrazz featuring the star vocalist Graham Bonnet (ex-Rainbow and The Michael Schenker Group) and the young guitar genius Yngwie J. Malmsteen toured Japan in early 1984, and the band's performance at the prestigious Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on 28th January was released in Japan as a home video.
During a thorough excavation of the vaults, the original 24 channel audio multitrack was miraculously discovered - remixes and digital remasterings were made to recreate the sheer brilliance of the original live performance. You will find yourself in the very first row of Nakano Sun Plaza in 1984.
The complete performance is here - from the opening frenzy of ‘Too Young To Die, Too Drunk To Live’, to ‘Island In The Sun’ and ‘Hiroshima Mon Amour’ from Alcatrazz's debut album “No Parole From Rock 'n' Roll”. The band revisits Bonnet's repertoire from the Rainbow days including ‘All Night Long’,
‘Since You Been Gone’ and ‘Lost In Hollywood’,
plus ‘Desert Song’ by The Michael Schenker Group and Graham's solo hit ‘Night Games’.
And we witness the dawn of the new guitar god in the presence of the 20 year-old Yngwie J. Malmsteen. His guitar wizardry shines throughout, including his solo instrumentals ‘Evil Eye’ and ‘Coming Bach’.
The excerpt of the show was released as the live album “Live Sentence”, with cuts and overdubs - now we get to experience the concert in its entirety. For those who were there, and those who were born too late, this is a great opportunity to time warp yourself to where it all started.

Now, at 66, the Argentine musician is releasing his first solo album. Raconto is the work with which he travels a trajectory of more than four decades, and that obeys the need to review his life through emblematic songs, he said in an interview. I'm debuting as a soloist at 66, something very unusual, as I think it has been my career in general and the choice of the things I decided to do, said Santaolalla in Mexico City, where in September he will present the show "Deviating the Way" live , which will take him on tour in Latin America.

The definitive version of the legendary 1984 Japan tour is unveiled with fully restored and remastered sound, in a previously unreleased full concert form.

Alcatrazz featuring the star vocalist Graham Bonnet (ex-Rainbow and The Michael Schenker Group) and the young guitar genius Yngwie J. Malmsteen toured Japan in early 1984, and the band's performance at the prestigious Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on 28th January was released in Japan as a home video.

During a thorough excavation of the vaults, the original 24 channel audio multitrack was miraculously discovered - remixes and digital remasterings were made to recreate the sheer brilliance of the original live performance. You will find yourself in the very first row of Nakano Sun Plaza in 1984.
