Mike & The Mechanics were formed in 1985 by Mike Rutherford as a separate project to run alongside his work with Genesis. They released their eponymous debut album the same year featuring vocals from both Paul Carrack (Ace) and Paul Young (Sad Café) and had an immediate hit with Silent Running. This was followed by a string of further hit singles and albums including The Living Years , a US No.1 single that remains one of the most played songs of all time on FM radio. In 2004 the band reunited for the first time since the sad death of Paul Young in 2000. With Paul Carrack now handling all the lead vocals they went out on the road across Europe, culminating in this outstanding performance at London s Shepherds Bush Empire. The show contains all their greatest hits and is now presented on Blu-ray for the first time.

Clapton invited old friends and new for the Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago. Rhino Entertainment captured every angle with a two-DVD set chronicling that scorching summer day in Chicago with CROSSROADS GUITAR FESTIVAL 2007 FROM CHICAGO..

Filmed in HD, the DVDs contain four hours of legendary musicians performing alone and jamming together, along with remarkable footage taken backstage at this six-string summit. Clapton says he created the event so his friends and contemporaries could have fun and play together for a good cause. "The Crossroads Festival is the realization of a dream for me, to gather a group of amazingly talented musicians to perform onstage," he explains. "The Crossroads performers are all musicians I admire and respect."

With 38 tracks, CROSSROADS showcases a wide range of artists from rock, country, jazz, and blues including performances by jazz fusionist John McLaughlin, roots rocker Albert Lee, Chicago blues legend Hubert Sumlin, hit-making singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, Texas bluesman Jimmie Vaughan, slide guitarist Sonny Landreth, Latin rockers Los Lobos, and country star Vince Gill.

A seminar for guitar fanatics, Clapton's set paid tribute to his close friend George Harrison with Isn't It A Pity and revisited Derek & The Dominos with Tell The Truth. Jeff Beck delivered a mind-blowing instrumental set with Big Block. The Robert Cray Band was joined by Vaughn, Sumlin and B.B. King for Sitting On Top Of The World, Rock Me Baby, and Paying The Cost To Be The Boss; while young gun John Mayer flexed his skills with Belief and Gravity.

The concert provided plenty of impressive guitar heroics with some of the world's best guitarists jamming together. Young phenom and member of The Allman Brothers Band, Derek Trucks, battled legendary bluesman Johnny Winters on slide guitar during a rollicking version of Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited. Robbie Robertson made a rare stage appearance playing with Clapton on Bo Diddley's Who Do You Love. Performing together live for the first time in 25 years, Blind Faith band mates Steve Winwood and Clapton soared through a set that included Presence Of The Lord, Dear Mr. Fantasy, Had To Cry Today and Crossroads. The Chicago show ended on a fitting note with Chicago-blues icon Buddy Guy playing a set featuring him solo and leading an all-star jam on Sweet Home Chicago that included Clapton, Cray, Mayer, Sumlin, Vaughan, and Winter.

By 1974, the Alice Cooper group had risen to the upper echelon of rock stardom... and then, parted ways. In October 2015, over 40 years later, record store owner and superfan Chris Penn convinced the original line-up to reunite for a very special performance at his record store Good Records in Dallas, Texas.

Alice Cooper (vocals), Michael Bruce (guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) were joined on stage by Alice's current guitarist Ryan Roxie (standing in for the late Glen Buxton). A packed audience, believing they had come to Good Records for Dennis Dunaway's 'Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!' book signing, were surprised to bear witness to a full-blown happening.

The historic reunion show including all-time classics such as "No More Mr. Nice Guy", "I'm Eighteen" and "School's Out" is now becoming available for the very first time worldwide. Luckily the event was documented. "Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper" (edited and directed by Steven Gaddis) toured the world to the acclaim of music fans and rock journalists alike. The documentary won multiple awards for its coverage of the historic event. Now all Alice Cooper fans and rock music lovers across the globe can enjoy this movie as it's included as a video bonus to this live album.

By 1974, the Alice Cooper group had risen to the upper echelon of rock stardom... and then, parted ways. In October 2015, over 40 years later, record store owner and superfan Chris Penn convinced the original line-up to reunite for a very special performance at his record store Good Records in Dallas, Texas.

Alice Cooper (vocals), Michael Bruce (guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) were joined on stage by Alice's current guitarist Ryan Roxie (standing in for the late Glen Buxton). A packed audience, believing they had come to Good Records for Dennis Dunaway's 'Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!' book signing, were surprised to bear witness to a full-blown happening.

The historic reunion show including all-time classics such as "No More Mr. Nice Guy", "I'm Eighteen" and "School's Out" is now becoming available for the very first time worldwide. Luckily the event was documented. "Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper" (edited and directed by Steven Gaddis) toured the world to the acclaim of music fans and rock journalists alike. The documentary won multiple awards for its coverage of the historic event. Now all Alice Cooper fans and rock music lovers across the globe can enjoy this movie as it's included as a video bonus to this live album.

The band went into a sound stage in San Francisco and filmed 11 music video style performance clips for the entire record, cut to the studio album.

TESTAMENT are and remain a power! Once again they deliver a brute and at the same time filigree Thrash Metal Manifesto, which is in no way inferior to their classics.

"The album has a lot of new stuff to offer," explains guitarist Eric Peterson. They stay true to their roots, but mix a pleasant dose of new ingredients into their proven recipe for success. Last but not least, it is frontman Chuck Billy who always leaves his comfort zone and breathes fresh life into the new neck-breakers. Andy Sneap (ACCEPT and others) produced this stroke of genius, which hammers out of the speakers with a brute elemental force. The band is audibly in top form, just what Peterson and Skolnic deliver on their guitar is simply divine. "Titans Of Creation" - here the title is absolute program, because TESTAMENT are a phenomenon and an equally reliable constant. Crackers like the bestial opener 'Children Of The Next Level', the pitch-black 'Night Of The Witch' or the sluggish 'City Of Angels' are absolute gourmet pieces in Puncto Thrash. The profound lyrics are no easy fare and are about the apocalypse like in 'WWIII' or classic horror stuff like in 'Dream Deceiver': "Somebody chases you and comes for you in the night when you can't control it anymore".

Mike & The Mechanics were formed in 1985 by Mike Rutherford as a separate project to run alongside his work with Genesis. They released their eponymous debut album the same year featuring vocals from both Paul Carrack (Ace) and Paul Young (Sad Cafe) and had an immediate hit with Silent Running. This was followed by a string of further hit singles and albums including The Living Years , a US No.1 single that remains one of the most played songs of all time on FM radio. In 2004 the band reunited for the first time since the sad death of Paul Young in 2000. About: Mark Knopfler takes his former Dire Straits band mate John Illsley on a journey to discover the six guitars that defined his sound and music

It begins in the music shops in Central Arcade in Newcastle, where Knopfler spent many a childhood hour staring longingly through the shop window at a Fender Stratocaster. There, Knopfler unveils his first-ever guitar, a Höfner V2 that cost his dad £50 in 1964.

Unable to afford an amp, Knopfler recalls blowing up several family radios before he landed a job as reporter and moved to Leeds in 1969. Heading to nearby Robin Hood's Bay, Knopfler introduces Illsley to blues artist Steve Phillips, with whom he used to regularly jam and who sold Knopfler his second guitar, a louder and more garish National that would be made famous by the cover of the Dire Straits' fifth album Brothers in Arms.

As Knopfler moved to London in 1973 and formed Dire Straits, he splashed out on the Fender Stratocaster he had wanted since his school days. He and Illsley reminisce about the early days of Dire Straits as they visit the house that was originally Pathway Studios where they, along with Elvis Costello, Madness and The Squeeze, put down tracks. They recall gigs they played on the path outside their flat in Deptford as well as the first time one of their songs was played on the radio - an event they missed because they were moving furniture.

As Dire Straits' success grew, so did Knopfler's guitar collection. Next he turned to the Gibson Les Paul to perfect his iconic style, used on hits including Money For Nothing as well as album Brothers in Arms. As Knopfler grew tired of countless guitar changes per concert, he met Rudy Pensa, a luthier and guitar shop owner in New York. In his famous store on 48th Street, Knopfler recalls how they designed a new guitar with a wider range of sounds on a napkin in a cafe in 1980: The Pensa MK1.

Finally, the most recent chapter in Knopfler's journey as a guitarist takes him and Illsley to the workshop of John Monteleone. He crafted Knopfler's Monteleone Isabella in 2008, a guitar Knopfler considered so exquisite, he made it the subject of one of his songs.

We are proud to announce the release of 'Summer Shall Not Fade - Live At Loreley', a Blu-ray and double CD set of the band's legendary performance at the Night Of The Prog festival on 13th July 2018 at Loreley in Germany.

The thirteen song set runs to over two hours. It includes classic material from English Electric, Folklore and Grimspound studio albums, and fan favourite deep cuts Kingmaker and Summer's Lease. The performance features the full Big Big Train live band, including the late David Longdon, plus a five-piece brass section and is made even more remarkable by the fact that it was only the band's eighth live show in this incarnation.

Over the following years, the show has taken on an almost mythical reputation among the band's fans, aka The Passengers, as one of the best the band ever performed.

Gregory Spawton says of the show: "Loreley was a real coming of age experience for Big Big Train as a live band. The stars aligned perfectly for us. It was a truly magical night with the band performing brilliantly and a wonderfully welcoming audience as they and we enjoyed the glorious outdoor setting." Gregory's sentiments are shared by drummer Nick D'Virgilio: "I have been blessed to play some amazing shows with Tears For Fears, Cirque du Soleil, Spock's Beard and many others during my career. But the BBT show at Loreley was off the charts. It's hard to believe that this was only our eighth performance together. Every second was simply awesome."

The show features the late David Longdon on vocals and flute. Rikard Sjöblom, the band's guitarist and keyboard player, remembers David's performance well: "David was an absolute star, his vocal performance and the way he commanded the stage were both extraordinary. Loreley is an amazing record of our precious time together with him. The show is one of the highlights of my life."

The audio for Summer Shall Not Fade has been mixed in both 5.1 and stereo by Big Big Train's resident sound engineer, Rob Aubrey.
