Led Zeppelin continue their reissue campaign with a new edition of their celebrated live album How The West Was Won, originally released in 2003, featuring newly remastered audio, which was done under the supervision of Jimmy Page. This is the first ever Blu-Ray Audio edition (containing hi-res 5.1 surround sound).

HOW THE WEST WAS WON highlights the best performances from Led Zeppelin's legendary concerts at the Los Angeles Forum and Long Beach Arena on June 25 and 27, 1972. Melded together and sequenced to replicate a single concert from beginning to end, it captures the band at the height of its formidable powers. Standouts include a 25-plus minute version of "Dazed And Confused" and a 21-minute medley based around "Whole Lotta Love." The performances also capture the band introducing songs from its then-unreleased album Houses Of The Holy, which would be released nine months later.

Motorhead - Teutonic power trio, who've been around for over 30 years, have a lean, muscular musical attack that clearly influenced not only heavy metal (with its bludgeoning thunder) but also punk rock (with its no-frills minimalism). Phillip Campbell's guitar technique blisters with ruthless efficiency as he rips through Motorhead classics like Ace of Spades, backed by Mikkey Dee's ferocious and buoyant drumming. But the master of ceremonies is towering Lemmy, the lead singer/bassist with mighty muttonchops; though he keeps his stage patter sparse--the band frequently segues straight from one song into another--his humor and charisma are clearly the focal point. Visually, Stage Fright--filmed in Dusseldorf, Germany--depends heavily on rapid editing and the relentless throb and flicker of the light show, as the band is pretty much a stand-there-and-play bunch. But by the end, even nonbelievers may find themselves bobbing along with Dancing on Your Grave or Going to Brazil or the acoustic Whorehouse Blues.

Of the legendary bands Great Britain birthed during the 1960s, none sound remotely like Procol Harum. From their emergence with the single version of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" months before the world heard the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, they were prog before prog, psychedelic before the world knew what it was, and a rocking R&B outfit. Their signature sound was a tense, often sublime balance of singer Gary Brooker's piano and dark, soul-drenched singing of Keith Reid's elliptical lyrics, Matthew Fisher's alternately haunted and fearsome organ, B.J. Wilson's drumming and -- at least through 1971's brilliant Broken Barricades -- the emergent electric blues guitar playing of Robin Trower. The weave of classical, pop, prog, and R&B was full of a dramatic tension, perverse, often black humor, biting commentary, history, and poetry. It exerted its influence on bands from the Who (Tommy) to Queen (A Night at the Opera) and beyond. Other tracks, including "A Salty Dog," "Whiskey Train," "Simple Sister," and "Conquistador," are also regarded as iconic.

England's Esoteric Recordings tells the band's story properly for the first time in this deluxe, 50th anniversary eight-disc box set that compiles studio recordings and live performances. It is comprised of five audio discs and three DVDs

On "Live im Wasserschloss Klaffenbach", Blutengel deliver a stunning document of the biggest show in their career so far. Even in the ongoing success story of a band like Blutengel, there are certain moments that are simply magical. The jam-packed courtyard of the water castle Klaffenbach, in Chemnitz, filled with an enthusiastic audience that had been traveling in from everywhere in Germany and even the entire globe, plus the extremely beautiful scenery had Chris Pohl, Ulrike Goldmann and the band positively overwhelmed from the very beginning. The audience and Blutengel were connecting from the moment the band entered the stage, marking the start of the feeling of being part of one of the special evenings that are almost impossible to explain in words. Blutengel performed their 2-hour-plus set comprised of hits, fan-favorites and a couple of pleasant surprises with an ardent zeal and the fans delightfully tagged along for the ride. Even in the ongoing success story of a band like Blutengel, there are certain moments that are simply magical. The jam-packed courtyard of the water castle Klaffenbach, in Chemnitz, filled with an enthusiastic audience that had been traveling in from everywhere in Germany and even the entire globe, plus the extremely beautiful scenery had Chris Pohl, Ulrike Goldmann and the band positively overwhelmed from the very beginning.
