Jethro Tull released Stormwatch in September 1979, completing a folk-rock 'trilogy' the band started with Songs from the Wood in 1977 and continued the following year with Heavy Horses (both of which have already been reissued). Stormwatch was the final album to feature the classic late-1970s Jethro Tull lineup, which included Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Glascock, John Evan, David (now Dee) Palmer and Barriemore Barlow.

This 40th anniversary edition is a 4CD+2xDVD package. The album has been remixed by Steven Wilson, with his stereo mix appearing on the first CD and a new 5.1 surround mix housed on one of the two DVDs.

Description: According to WorldScreen.com, the 3D version of ALICE COOPER's "Halloween Night Of Fear" will be offered to broadcasters at MIPCOM from BBC Worldwide. The "Halloween Night Of Fear" will be filmed on October 29, with the set including classics such as "School's Out", as well as tracks from Cooper's new album. The two-hour mix will be available on October 30 for Halloween broadcasts.

Commented Salim Mukaddam, the VP of music television at BBC Worldwide: "Capturing music performances in 3D brings a whole new experience to the viewer and arguably benefits from the technology more than any other genre, allowing the viewer to really feel as if they were at the live event. For BBC Worldwide to be able to launch its 3D offering with titles of this caliber is truly fantastic."

2010 saw Gary Moore make a return to rock music after a long period of time exploring the blues. He was writing and working on a new rock album when all was brought to a halt by his untimely death on 6 February 2011. This concert from Montreux in July 2010 was his last performance to be filmed. The setlist draws heavily on his hugely successful rock albums of the eighties, stirs in a couple of his classic blues tracks with some memorable hit singles and includes three brand new songs that would have featured on the album left sadly uncompleted on his death. On August 19th, 2005, on what would have been the eve of his 56th birthday, a statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled in Dublin's Grafton Street by his mother. There to witness the event were members of Thin Lizzy from throughout the band's career. Later that evening they joined forces under the leadership of Gary Moore for a concert that paid tribute to Lynott's memory. The core band of Moore, Jethro Tull bass player Jonathan Noyce and Thin Lizzy's one and only drummer, Brian Downey were joined by the stellar guitar talents of Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham and Eric Bell for a set of Lizzy and Gary Moore classics.

This unique concert was filmed at the London Hippodrome on October 25th 2007. It formed a part of the launch for the Jimi Hendrix Live At Monterey program and featured Gary Moore and his band performing classic Hendrix tracks. At the end of the night Gary was joined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience for 3 tracks. Gary Moore was one of the finest British guitarists of all time and is one of the few players who could pay homage to Jimi Hendrix's groundbreaking and truly distinctive guitar style. This is a stunning tribute from one master guitarist to another.

Brightman is accompanied by her band, the Bavarian Philharmonic orchestra, a 50-voice choir and the Ludwig Ensemble of dancers. Special guest performers include Japanese superstar Yoshiki, Vincent Niclo, Mario Frangoulis and Narcis.

Description: Almost as exciting as the main concert itself are the extras, including the first ever live performance of Tommy at the London Coliseum in 1969. The best sections of the Coliseum performance, video-wise at least (and that's not saying much--these are pretty badly damaged 16mm film masters), are presented in a separate piece. You can also access the more or less complete Tommy from the same performance via the main menu, though there are some gaps in the filming augmented by stills. There's also a performance of The Who's pre-Tommy mini-opera "A Quick One." While the image and sound quality of these concerts is not on a par with the main feature, their historical value more than makes up for it. Soundwise, I actually wasn't that disappointed (though there's nothing close to the clarity of the main concert here), and that's really what matters as far as I'm concerned. A trailer for the Kilburn concert is also included.

"Tales From Outer Space", the tenth studio album by RPWL, the subtle art rockers from Freising, entered various charts, reached a remarkable 49th place in the German album charts and successfully put science fiction at the centre of seven great songs. This was followed by a fantastic tour in April 2019 from Glasgow via Warsaw to Basel, France and Germany with many full and sold out houses. But most important for the band was the enthusiastic feedback from the fans, who unanimously spoke of the "best RPWL tour ever". Therefore the decision was made to release a seventh live album with "Live From Outer Space" after ten studio and six live albums. It released on November 29, 2019 on CD, vinyl (each as a double set) as well as on Blue-ray and DVD. Another reason: "RPWL's live versions are often different than in the studio, many parts are much more extensive, often jammed live, " explains guitarist Kalle Wallner.

The film was shot at the outstanding performance in Zoetermeer (NL): "The Culturpodium de Boerderij in Zoetermeer was the perfect place - great stage, great light, you could say it is the Dutch prog temple. We have been playing concerts there regularly for eighteen years now, so we have a long and very friendly relationship with the venue and the crew, " says singer Yogi Lang.

Description: Deep Purple with Orchestra Live in Verona is presented on Blu-ray courtesy of Eagle Vision, an imprint of Eagle Rock Entertainment, with an AVC encoded 1080i transfer in 1.78:1. Aside from just one or two minor issues, this is a standout release in terms of clarity and sharpness, with well delineated contrast and very accurate and nicely saturated colors. Occasionally when the camera is aimed squarely at one of the battery of lights, there can be minor banding and/or posterizing. Posterizing also tends to just slightly afflict things like Gillan's hair when it's bathed in blue or purple lighting.
