The Early Years 1965-1972 is a compilation box set by Pink Floyd released on 11 November 2016. It was officially announced 28 July 2016. The set includes seven volumes with CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, vinyl, and memorabilia. It contains early non-album singles plus unreleased studio and live recordings. Volumes 1-6 will be available for individual sale in 2017, while Volume 7 Continu/ation will be exclusive to the box set. A two-disc compilation titled The Early Years - Cre/ation was also made available.

• One band. Three nights. Three Thousand fans. From Fifty Two countries. [b]Marillion Weekends have become a tradition amongst the fan base, "the family". The main Dutch weekend (there are two others in the UK and Canada) sold out within hours of the tickets being released. It may have been the fifth time the band had put on such a spectacle in Port Zelande, but in a whole host of ways for the 2015 edition, the bar had well and truly been raised. This time, our brief extended beyond 'just' the concert film coverage, to include the creation of content for the concert screens, as well as producing and filming a feature documentary about the band and this unique event. Working in close partnership with the band's lead singer Steve Hogarth, and their graphic design genius, Simon Ward we orchestrated a green screen shoot, and a more traditional 'live action' shoot which became the backdrop for the Saturday night rendition of the band's well-loved 'Marbles' album. We also created screen content for the Sunday night too - weaving together elements of archive stills and footage alongside animated album artwork. We also 'upped the ante' when it came to the concert films themselves. All three nights were filmed for release - promising an amazing product with the concerts themselves, plus the opportunity to create some top quality bonus material to set the live gigs in context. We handpicked and worked with an incredible and talented crew, which has made sure that concert footage we captured this year has surpassed all others. The three-concert film box set is slated for release later in 2016, to follow the release for the bands upcoming album, earlier in 2016. But three concerts filmed back-to-back wasn't enough!
• Marillion also commissioned us to develop and film a feature documentary; A behind the scenes look at this amazing event from the bands' eye view. A unique insight into a band that have been doing their thing for 35 years, and who are still breaking new ground. 'Unconventional' was released in November 2015, with a marketing campaign consisting of two teaser trailers, a release trailer and 4 sizzle shorts released on social media the month following the release to really engage with Marillion's enthusiastic fan base. You could say that this project is multi-faceted . an exercise in project management on a pretty big scale, across a multitude of 'mini projects', all culminating in an unforgettable three nights of music with the most incredible bunch of devoted fans. The magic still very much appeared to be there, both in the bands performance and the crowd's reactions to them. There were some very special moments, clearly treasured by those who attended. We look forward to being able to share them (and much else besides), and play our part in bringing Marillion and what they do closer to the wider audience that the band so richly deserves.

PETER HAMMILL is one of the formative characters of the progressive rock scene to date. In the beginning of the 1970's he recorded four cumbersome mysterious albums with his band VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR which never could reach the commercial heights of cognate bands like GENESIS or YES due to their musical intransigence.
After several visionary but difficult to access albums, HAMMILL reformed the quartet for another four albums which introduced a more earthy but not less complex sound. After the band's second end in 1978, on solo albums like "The Future Now","ph7"or"A Black Box" HAMMILL experimented extensively in the studio and acquired the latest techniques like i.e. early forms of sampling; one of the most breath-taking results being the 20 minute long soundscape'Flight'. However, HAMMILL, who had been recording nearly all the instruments on his own, wished for the active support of a band to be able to adequately present his songs on stage. The K-GROUP was born. "First of all, I was looking for a possibility to adapt the songs of the current album 'Sitting Targets'which were indeed quite powerful for a live performance. While we were practising I noticed that even complex stuff like 'Flight' or 'The Jargon King' was possible and that, of course, broadened the range considerably."
Since HAMMILL has only been playing with a few selected musicians in the course of the almost 50 years of his career, most of which being childhood friends, he rounded up three intimates for his new band, too: VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR drummer Guy Evans, the former VAN DER GRAAF bassist Nic Potter as well as guitarist John Ellis, also coming from within the range of the former band. As the K-GROUP in their uncompromising rigor, and that was new for HAMMILL, definitely drew on existing new wave, a demonstration of an erected middle finger directed towards punk rock by elderly gentlemen, they took on silly stage personas; HAMMILL was called "K", the other three were Mozart, Brain and Fury. In contrast to VDGG HAMMILL did not regard the K-GROUP as a band in the literal sense.
1 was the boss; it was 'my' band. But our human and musical interaction was unimpeachable."
Thanks to the K-GROUP, PETER HAMMILL succeeded in giving more hardship and directness to his music than it had been the case at his usual solo performances. The sometimes slightly sterile studio productions were replaced by an earthier and compact band sound which on one hand was still reminiscent with the old yet idolized former band, but thanks to the absence of then dominant instruments like saxophone, flute and later violin on the other hand revealed a totally different cruder character. When the K-GROUP went on the stage of the Hamburg Markthalle, they were very well rehearsed anyway; after all, they had been on tour for a while now. It is a stroke of good fortune that the gig was recorded for TV by ROCKPALAST because there is only comparatively few official live material of PETER HAMMILL, either as frontman of VDGG or solo artist.
"We took it as a normal show. We were in the middle of the tour anyway. Upfront, we had quite re-arranged the songs so we could play them with a rock quartet. When I am asked about my thoughts on this specific concert there lays a veil over my memory somehow. There are only two things that I remember exactly: First, I recollect the unbelievable professionally of the ROCKPALAST team, which in those times could not be taken for granted. Second, in a bar next to our hotel I wrote the song 'Happy Hour', which was to be put on the first K-GROUP studio album."
Actually, the band played in Hamburg exclusively that re-arranged material from HAMMILLS latest albums. Only one solo classic - 'Modern' from the year 1973 - as well as two newer VDGG songs, 'The Sphinx In The Face' and 'My Room' made their way on the set list. That from these concerts a real band would arise was according to HAMMILL today, never planned at that time.
But in the years 1982 and 1983, the K-GROUP recorded two albums, "Enter K" and "Patience", and a live album titled "The Margin" followed.
Then the K-GROUP was history, too - and not because HAMMILL did not think of it as good enough: "The band wowing star. I would have loved for it to go on but honestly: I could no longer afford it."
Today, many fans see the K-GROUP as the best phase in the solo career of PETER HAMMILL, and the ROCKPALAST performance, at last being released as DVD and CD is seen as one of its magic moments.

About: Finishing »Gods Of Violence« took KREATOR - featuring Petrozza, Sami Yli-Sirniö (guitars), Christian “Speesy” Giesler (bass) and Jürgen “Ventor” Reil (drums) - about three years. After Petrozza had pre-produced all of the eleven tracks in winter of 2015, KREATOR went to Sweden in order to team up with legendary metal producer Jens Bogren in his Fascination Street Studios once again. What emerged from the recording sessions was bound to fundamentally redefine what KREATOR is all about. An opus that surprises with some lines in German and an unexpected guest in the form of indie pop artist DAGOBERT. Moreover, Italian death metallers FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE lent a hand with the orchestral parts of four songs and 12-year-old Tekla-Li Wadensten played the harp for »Gods Of Violence«.

As is often the case, it all started with a good idea. KREATOR mastermind Mille Petrozza had followed the latest news with growing concern. Especially the November 2015 Paris attacks made him realize that there had to be a continuum of human malevolence, running like a thread through the ages, from ancient times up to the present day. These thoughts led Petrozza to interlocking current events with tales from Greek mythology, eventuating in the song »Gods Of Violence« that was consequently chosen as the album‘s name giver. “Currently, religion has regained a level of importance that I would have never considered possible 20 years ago,” Mille states. “An extremely dangerous polarization is taking place, giving rise to growing hate among us all. That‘s what I wanted to write about.”

However, lyricist Mille Petrozza‘s unique feature lies in his playful approach to these tried and trusted themes: “Understanding the lyrics as an additional dimension is very important to me,” he states. This includes tackling issues of both personal and universal importance. “My wildest years are behind me and there are a couple of things I would have sung about back in the days that just aren‘t in line with my present life anymore. You can grow older and still live a metal musician‘s life for sure. But you have to make sure to preserve your dignity and to not become a parody of yourself - that‘s walking a fine line.”

The Stones roll from Santiago to Buenos Aires, where fan devotion borders on a kind of religion. In São Paulo, Ronnie Wood immerses himself in street art; in Mexico City, a 12-piece mariachi band plays "Happy"; and in Lima, Mick and Keith reminisce about composing "Honky Tonk Women" before launching into a spellbinding unplugged rendition.

As the band make their way toward that final date in Havana, tensions run high with organizers — an overlap with the first visit from a sitting US president in 88 years and a brief dust-up involving the Pope nearly derail the show. Once the official announcement is finally made, the fans go wild in this country where people could've at one time been detained for listening to rock music.

About: One of rock’n’roll’s most venerated guitar Gods, Uli Jon Roth, will be releasing a very special live performance from the Nakano Sun Plaza Hall in Tokyo, Japan on December 2nd 2016 through UDR Music, titled Tokyo Tapes Revisited - Live In Japan. The performance is a celebration of Roth’s classic work with The Scorpions, and was recorded on February 20th 2015 at the same venue as the band’s classic 1978 live album Tokyo Tapes. Roth was a founding member of The Scorpions in 1973 before leaving to pursue a solo career in 1978 with his own Electric Sun. As the recognized creative heartbeat of The Scorpions, Roth achieved worldwide fame for his unique guitar and song-writing talents, in turn causing him to influence a plethora of modern guitar giants such as Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins and Steve Vai. Tokyo Tapes Revisited - Live In Japan will be released in four different formats.
Product 1 - video & audio recording of Roth’s Tokyo concert in a BluRay digipak containing one BluRay video disc and two audio CDs.
Product 2 - The same as Product 1 only in a DVD digipak.
Product 3 - A digital audio copy of the Tokyo concert.
Product 4 - a super-deluxe boxset, limited to 800 copies. It will be a proper, lid-off shell box containing 4 heavyweight vinyl LPs of Roth’s 2015 Scorpions Revisited release which has never been released on vinyl. There will also be an 80-page, gatefold, hardcover 12” book which will house 8 discs - 1 BluRay concert main-feature, 1 bonus BluRay disc (which will contain the original footage from the first Japanese Scorpions Tour 1978, shot personally by Uli on his Super 8 Camera), 2 audio CDs of the main Tokyo concert and 4 bonus audio CDs of Roth’s Osaka and Nagoya dates on the same Japanese tour.
