ratDVD es un programa fantástico para crearte copias de seguridad de tus DVD más preciados sin tener que pasarlos a formato DivX.
¿Convierte a DivX? No, ratDVD no convierte a DivX, hace algo mejor; te permite desechar aquellos contenidos del DVD que no necesitas (supongamos que no quieres los subtítulos en alemán ni el audio en japonés…), lee el DVD y lo recodifica ajustando el tamaño lo más reducido posible, pero manteniendo el formato DVD.
Es ideal para reducir el tamaño de las películas y que de esta forma quepan en un DVD-5 (los "baratos"). Eso sí, ratDVD como la mayoría de programas de este tipo, tarda bastante en realizar todo el proceso, así que paciencia y a hacer otra cosa mientras dura el proceso de conversión.
