Mika has been playing drums and percussion in various bands since 1981, has played all genres from Jazz to Metal and that can be found in the Imperium songs in a positive sense. The music is Melodic Rock / AOR and has a big dose of 80s feel and sound. The project began in 2012, followed by three albums on AOR Heaven (Dreamhunter - 2016, Beyond The Stars - 2018 and Heaven Or Hell - 2020). At Imperium, Mika is responsible for the songwriting and plays all drums, keyboards, bass, sings all backing vocals and produces. All lead vocals and guitars are played by top musicians from the rock/metal scene, including RobbielaBlanc, Michael Bormann, Joel Hoekstra. The post-production of the album was also taken over by top professionals.
