I see a lot of ads for a movie called "COLOMBIANA" in the french train stations... did someone watch it?
The poster shows a colombian woman with a gun in her hands. It's not often that a movie taking place in Colombia hits a big ad campaign like this, must be a big production.

I just saw that this is produced by a french producer (LUC BESSON, who made the 5th Element, Nikita, and other movies...), maybe this is why they make quite a fuss about it in France. Also the auteurs are those who made Taken.

The movie is not avaiable yet, and french media are already criticising, saying that the story is stolen from Kill Bill (but french media allways criticise everything that Luc Besson do, saying that he copies american movies)

About this movie, I would like it better if the movie weren't take place in Colombia... I mean, it's enough bad image with the local news.

I'm not sure but I think it's mostly in the US, and her childhood in colombia... but maybe I'm wrong.

On french tv there was a documentary about colombia, saying that the country has changed and that there are many french tourists now:

I'm not sure if you can watch it from colombia though, maybe it's blocked for people outside of France.
