I get the feeling cherry lips just read some of the comments on this thread like "me no speak inglis" or whatever and so wound up to the belief nobody here uses English effectively...

Well, not quite dear Cherry Lips, our discussions even reach the very bottom of our mind, reaching a consensus in varied topics and leading to a topi which is by no means stagnant

To speak about something in this topic I wonder something about Colombia: is Colombia a socialist country? I mean, when I look on the internet it is not so clear, Colombia seem really close to the US economic policy and I know that Uribe is a liberal, but in the same time maybe what you call a "liberal" in south america would be considered a socialist in the US for example... for example the french president is a liberal in France but compared to the US or the UK he is rather a socialist, you see what I mean?

So how is it in Colombia, are there a lot of taxes to pay every months for the social care etc like in France or do you get most of your money for yourself?

And so we used to have a "liberal" party and a "conservative" one which are no longer that strong. But to be somewhat clearer about this, we have the right wing and the leftist. Right goes with elite and left goes with the poor hard-working people. Right goes with killing and violating human rights and left with getting killed. Left goes with unions and right with anti-unions.

Apparently, and that is a hot debate, the president goes right and its opponents, of course, left. So do your own math and compare with your country.
