Description: Some real effort and attention to detail enlivens this big-budget period piece. Set during the Prohibition Era, it centers on the wild goings-on at the speakeasy of the title. The Palace of Pleasure is a combination after-hours club, gambling parlor and brothel, but its bodacious reputation is starting to raise eyebrows with the Feds. Jonathan Morgan and Melissa Hill play a couple of cops who are sent in undercover to bust the place, but wouldn't you just know it?
