Volume 27 starts off with a melange of fireside posing, garter belts, and pasties, with the models writing letters, dancing out of their evening gowns, and puttering in the kitchen - just another day in Pleasantville 13 before they move off into the rocky hills and the Spanish mansion for some parasol posing, tennis, strip poker, and pool plunging. After the infamous Candy Barr puts in an appearance it's back to the vanity to primp and preen before Donna Brown takes us outdoors for one scene and into the tub for another. In between, Betty Kidder can't disguise the frigid temperature of the plunge pool. A series of studio poses is interrupted by a car wash, a coke on the rocks, and some surfside calisthenics. This delightfully polyglot collection is brought to a suitable finish by a 1960s schoolgirl who follows up her naked backyard studying with a dip in the pool.
