Ambientado en el siglo 26, Bulletstorm nos pone en la piel de Grayson Hunt, un miembro de Dead Echo, un grupo de operaciones especiales que tiene como objetivo acabar con un genocida. El protagonista tras conocer las condiciones reales del encargo y la verdadera personalidad de su objetivo se niega a proceder a su ejecución, y diez años después se encuentra exiliado en un lejano planeta al que su antiguo superior se desplazará para vengarse.
