Sinopsis:
En el año 140 d.C., 20 años después de la nunca explicada desaparición de la Novena Legión en las montañas de Escocia, el joven centurión Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum) llega desde Roma para resolver el misterio y limpiar la reputación de su padre, el comandante de la Novena Legión. Con su esclavo Esca (Jamie Bell) por toda compañía, Marcus cruza el famoso Muro de Adriano y se adentra en las desconocidas colinas de Caledonia, donde se enfrentará a tribus salvajes, se reconciliará con la memoria de su padre y recuperará el dorado emblema de la legión pérdida, el Águila de la Novena.
