Old Man's Child es una agrupación de black metal melodico proveniente de Oslo, Noruega, formada en 1993 por "Galder", quien toca la mayoría de los instrumentos y es el único miembro que siempre ha estado en la banda.
Galder también es famoso por ser actualmente el guitarrista de Dimmu Borgir, por lo que es casi imposible no comparar a estas dos bandas, Old Man's Child es algo similar a Dimmu Borgir, los dos tocan el mismo estilo de Melodic Black Metal pero a pesar de eso existen ciertas diferencias que hacen destacar a esta banda.
Muchos incluso dicen que Old Man´s Child es mejor que Dimmu Borgir, por el simple hecho que ellos han sabido permanecer fieles a sus raíces musicales, juzguen ustedes.
