Pearl was a Spanish band active in the early 1970s in the Basque region. Their trio, Edelweiss, released a rare LP in 1973 and a few singles before disbanding in 1974. Vocalist Eduardo Martí pursued a short solo career into the early '80s. Their album En El Principio... features 12 short acoustic folk tracks with psychedelic and progressive rock influences, rich instrumentation (guitars, percussion, violin, flute, oboe, clarinet), and vocals in both English and Spanish. The album is cohesive and well-regarded, especially among fans of prog and psych folk.
