Since the earliest days of this band, the truest manifestation of our music has always been our concerts. There is only one King Diamond, and for more than thirty years the great Dane has been dropping classic albums and putting on shows fans remember for the rest of their lives. Perhaps the only downside to having such a formidable catalogue is that there are just too many great songs to fit into a single set. However, you would be hard-pressed to find a fan who wouldn't want to hear 1987?s seminal Abigail in its entirety, and Songs For The Dead Live captures this, twice, and in very different locales. Boasting eighteen songs per set, each of the two shows - Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting in June 2016 and Philadelphia's Fillmore in November 2015 - feature a brace of classic King Diamond and Mercyful Fate tracks including "Welcome Home," "Halloween," and "Eye Of The Witch" before launching into Abigail. The performances of the all-star lineup of musicians, comprising of guitarists Andy LaRocque and Mike Wead, bassist Pontus Egberg and drummer Matt Thompson, are absolutely ferocious, hammering home every single moment.

From The Basement is an unprecedented live music program on BBC, which includes Nigel Godrich, Radiohead's longtime producer, on the team behind project. For an episode with Thom Yorke and the gang, FTB captures the recording session which consisted of the band performing The King Of Limbs in its entirety. In addition to the four members, drummer Clive Dreamer (Portishead, Roni Size) joins, and a horn section also appears on a few songs. The critically acclaimed album is excellent in itself, but to see Radiohead play tracks off of it live (at Maida Vale Studios) is a treat, "a beautiful fifty five minute journey into the world" of the outfit. The fans will especially enjoy the "icing on top" moments of the DVS, as Radiohead decides to perform "Supercollider" (previously available only 12 inch single) and two brand new tracks, "Daily Mail" and "Staircase".

After the successful reissue of Marillion's 1985 album Misplaced Childhood in 2017, Parlophone relased the British quintet's fourth studio album Clutching at Straws in November.

Like its predecessor, the album was produced by Chris Kimsey and it delivered three top forty hits ('Incommunicado', 'Sugar Mice' and 'Warm Wet Circles'). Clutching At Straws would turn out to be Marillion's final studio release with original singer Fish.

Clutching at Straws relased 4CD+blu-ray deluxe edition and a 5LP vinyl box set. Both include a new stereo remix by Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh (Mackintosh was the original mixing engineer for producer Chris Kimsey in Advision studios back in 1987) and a concert recording of the band performing at the Edinburgh Playhouse in December '87. Some of these live performance have appeared before, on The Thieving Magpie live album, although it should be noted that this is a new mix for 2018 by Michael Hunter.
