This historic event was Joanne's first live performance in two years and features Rob McNelley (guitar), Steve Mackey (bass), Jimmy Wallace (keyboards, piano), Nick Buda (drums), Devonne Fowlkes (backing vocals), Kim Fleming (backing vocals), and Joanne on vocals and guitar.

The audio was produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith at Blackbird Studios, Nashville, and was mixed by Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden) at The Cave, Australia. The video component includes bonus track "I'm No Angel" (not available on the CD) and also a behind the scenes featurette which includes interviews of Joanne and Joe before they took the stage.

About: The second of three shows at the historic Budokan arena in Tokyo, on 6th December 1983, would make history as first live broadcast between Japan and MTV in America, an amazing achievement for its time. This performance has previously only been available on VHS. The concert featured some of ASIA’s biggest and most memorable tracks including, Time Again, Only Time Will Tell, Sole Survivor, Wildest Dreams and the global hit single Heat Of The Moment.
Greg Lake stepped in, at short notice, following the sudden departure of ASIA’s founder member John Wetton ahead of the Japanese dates. Despite a short period for Lake to learn the songs, and some changes to the arrangements to accommodate Lake’s different vocal range, the Japanese shows were hailed a great success.
Carl Palmer was proud of his former ELP bandmate for performing exceptionally in the situation. “Greg Lake did a great job jumping into John’s shoes. So many songs to sing, he did it so well. It was impressive.”
Geoff Downes, too, was pleased with the event, especially given the massive undertaking. “It was a grand and sumptuous affair. The stage was the iconic ‘A-frame’ shape we had for the US tour. I think we pulled it off admirably in the end. There were some good people behind us: crew, lighting designers, cameramen and backing singers, it was quite a production.”
“The show was an important global commitment,” says Steve Howe, “so we had to rise to the occasion, which we did, with Greg’s help. We couldn’t have done it without him, for sure.”
For Downes, the release stands as a testament to the band’s resilience. “It deserves its place in the Asia catalogue. Aside from its musical strengths, it demonstrates the level of professionalism that we have always striven to bring to the ASIA name.”

'Vigils End' was filmed and recorded at Leamington Spa Assembly Rooms on the 24th November as the final show on the short 7 date UK tour in 2021 These were the only dates performed on what was originally planned to be an extensive International tour that was postponed and finally cancelled due to the covid pandemic. The shows were to feature the new 'Weltschmerz' album and the final performances of the entire 'Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors' album on its 30th anniversary and had begun on March 13th 2020 at Aberdeen Lemon Tree. 48 hours after the first gig the tour was brought to a close and a week later the first lockdown began. The band wouldn't perform again until the following year and due to a combination of adverse factors the 2021 UK shows would be the only gigs featuring this setlist and the last shows for a considerable time.

The Leamington show was originally broadcast in December 2021 as a global stream event and was hugely supported worldwide to enormous acclaim. The original broadcast has been further mixed, edited, and produced to provide even better quality.

'Vigils End' Blu Ray features the entire two hour show filmed in 4k by Dave Barras and Scott Mackay at 'Strangeboat 'and now available here on Blu Ray in an HD version in a widescreen format with Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes provided by Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh (Marillion/ Warner's remasters)

The Blu Ray which is also in a wallet at the front of the book has the aforementioned full filmed concert plus 2 interviews, one with backstage footage and the other filmed earlier this year with Fish at the Studio.

It also includes a complete 'alternative UK tour set' taken from the other 6 shows on the tour, mixed and produced by Steve Vantsis and the 'Lemon Tree' gig from 2020 which was previously released on You Tube as a fund raiser for band and crew during lockdown. The stereo audio has been given a boost in quality and produced by Steve Vantsis and Calum Malcolm.

About: ‘Vigils End’ was filmed and recorded at Leamington Spa Assembly Rooms on the 24th November as the final show on the short 7 date UK tour in 2021 These were the only dates performed on what was originally planned to be an extensive International tour that was postponed and finally cancelled due to the covid pandemic. The shows were to feature the new ‘Weltschmerz’ album and the final performances of the entire ‘Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors’ album on its 30th anniversary and had begun on March 13th 2020 at Aberdeen Lemon Tree. 48 hours after the first gig the tour was brought to a close and a week later the first lockdown began. The band wouldn’t perform again until the following year and due to a combination of adverse factors the 2021 UK shows would be the only gigs featuring this setlist and the last shows for a considerable time.

The Leamington show was originally broadcast in December 2021 as a global stream event and was hugely supported worldwide to enormous acclaim. The original broadcast has been further mixed, edited, and produced to provide even better quality.

‘Vigils End’ Blu Ray features the entire two hour show filmed in 4k by Dave Barras and Scott Mackay at ‘Strangeboat ’and now available here on Blu Ray in an HD version in a widescreen format with Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes provided by Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh (Marillion/ Warner’s remasters)

The audio was mixed and produced by Calum Malcolm who also provided a dedicated stereo mix for the double CD version that comes in two wallets at the rear of the hardback book which has over 1100 words of sleeve notes from Fish including private photos from the tour and artwork by Mark Wilkinson with sleeve design by Steve Vantsis.

The Blu Ray which is also in a wallet at the front of the book has the aforementioned full filmed concert plus 2 interviews, one with backstage footage and the other filmed earlier this year with Fish at the Studio.

It also includes a complete ‘alternative UK tour set’ taken from the other 6 shows on the tour, mixed and produced by Steve Vantsis and the ‘Lemon Tree’ gig from 2020 which was previously released on You Tube as a fund raiser for band and crew during lockdown. The stereo audio has been given a boost in quality and produced by Steve Vantsis and Calum Malcolm.

1986 album Break Every Rule reissued h across three physical formats, including a 3CD+2DVD box set.

Turner had enjoyed massive success with her Private Dancer album of 1984 and then consolidated that with the 1985 hit single 'We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)', the theme tune to Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Another song from that soundtrack ('One of the Living') and the Bryan Adams duet 'It's Only Love' kept Tina in the charts before she returned with what was her sixth solo studio album, Break Every Rule in September '86.

The 3CD+2DVD deluxe reissue offers the album remastered, a CD of remixes/non-album tracks, Tina live at Rio from 16 January 1988 (on CD and DVD) and then finally a DVD featuring Live at Camden Palace in November 1986 and promo videos. A 2CD deluxe pairs the remastered album with the remixes/non-album cuts and this is also available on remastered vinyl.
