Anata es una banda de Suecia formada en 1993 y su nombre proviene de la diosa egipcia de la guerra.

El estilo de Anata es muy peculiar ya que se encuentra en la linea entre ser Death Metal melódico y ser algo mas brutal, la base de la música es densa con el uso constante del doble bombo, la fuerte distorsión de las guitarras y la voz gutural, pero al mismo tiempo la gran técnicidad en los instrumentos es aplicada de formas mas melódicas, con riffs complejos pero memorables, solos de guitarra, pasajes instrumentales y/o acústicos.
