After slowly but surely building a fanbase around the world with albums like Razamanaz and Loud 'N' Proud, Nazareth finally hit the big time in 1975 with Hair of the Dog. The title track sets the mood for this stark album of hard rock with its combination of relentless guitar riffs, a throbbing, cowbell-driven beat, and an angry vocal from Dan McCafferty that denounces a "heart-breaker, soul-shaker." The end result is a memorably ferocious rocker that has become a staple of hard rock radio stations. The remainder of the album divides its time between similarly pulverizing hard rock fare and some intriguing experiments with the group's sound. In the rocker category, notable tracks include "Miss Misery," a bad romance lament driven by a doomy riff worthy of Black Sabbath, and "Changin' Times," a throbbing hard rock tune driven by a hypnotic, circular-sounding guitar riff. In the experimental category, the big highlight is "Please Don't Judas Me," an epic tune about paranoia that trades heavy metal riffs for a spooky, synthesizer-dominated atmosphere that is further enhanced by some light, Pink Floyd-styled slide guitar work. The American edition of this album also included a surprise hit for the group with their power ballad reinterpretation of the Everly Brothers classic "Love Hurts." However, the album's surprise highlight is a song that bridges the gap between the straight hard rock and experimental songs, "Beggars Day/Rose in Heather"; it starts out as a stomping rocker but smoothly transforms itself midway through into a gentle and spacey instrumental where soaring synthesizer lines support some moody guitar work. All in all, Hair of the Dog is the finest album in the Nazareth catalog. It is a necessity for both the group's fans and anyone who loves 1970s hard rock.

50 years later Alice and Ezrin gathered some legendary Detroit musicians in a Detroit studio to record "Detroit Stories", Alice Cooper's new album that celebrates that spirit for a new era. If 2019's "Breadcrumbs" EP laid down the trail to the city, "Detroit Stories" drives like a muscle car right down Woodward Ave.

"We recorded with Wayne Kramer (guitarist and writer from the MC5), Johnny "Bee" Badanjek (drums - from the legendary Detroit Wheels), Paul Randolph (legendary Detroit jazz and R&B bassist) as well as the Motor City Horns and other local musicians," explains Ezrin, "We had musical ideas and encouragement from John Varvatos, the support of the folks at Shinola, and we recorded at Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak."

Don Airey is the keyboard player of Deep Purple. With the iconic British band, he succeeded in doing what would have been impossible for any other keyboard player, substituting the legendary founding member Jon Lord, accidentally one of his idols.

Don's career has been incredible. His contribution has marked the history of hard rock. From his works with Ozzy Osbourne on the first albums, through Michael Schenker Group, three great album with Rainbow (together with Roger Glover and of course Ritchie Blackmore), until playing all keyboards on Whitesnake's smash album "1987", Judas Priest's Painkiller and many albums from Gary Moore, including the hit "Still Got The Blues" for which Airey wrote and arranged all the orchestral parts.

This concert has been recorded in Hamburg, during the club tour of his solo album "One Of A Kind", the first released on earMUSIC.

The show is a selection of Don's favourite songs from his unique career. A "Hard Rock songbook", played live in a superb way by a band including Carl Sentance (the current singer from Nazareth) and the guitar rising star Simon McBride who will release his new solo album on earMUSIC in 2021.

With a Little Help from My Friends is the debut album by singer-songwriter Joe Cocker, released in May 1969. It was certified gold in the US and peaked at number 35 on the Billboard 200. Scottish soul-rock singer Maggie Bell first gained prominence singing with Stone the Crows, which released its first album in 1970 and broke up in June 1973. Bell went solo with Queen of the Night (featuring the U.S. number 97 "After Midnight") in 1974, followed by Suicide Sal, both of which charted in the U.S. Her only U.K. chart singles came with "Hazell" (number 37) in 1978, and a duet with B.A. Robertson, "Hold Me" (number 11), in 1981.

The second and best solo album of the former soloist Stone the Crows, recorded after the tour in support of the successful debut album with the help of Peter Grant with guest participation of Jimmy Page (solo on If You do not know), and published on the label SwanSong. The record was more energetic and stiffer than the debut album, and is characterized by a feeling of "live" recording, reflecting the atmosphere of the concerts that Maggie and her band gave between the recording of the tracks of the album.

The producer of this album, as well as the debut album, was also Jerry Wexler. The album was recorded at the studio of Ringo Starr, who often looked "into the light" during the recording. Suicide Sal is the stage name of Maggie's aunt, who was an extremely famous queen of the music hall in Scotland. The title track is written by Maggie with the help of her friends, the second is the author's song - If You Do not Know - written by keyboardist Maggie Pete Wingfield. Another track belongs to the pen of the former colleague of Stone the Crows drummer Colin Allen and Zuta Mani, the rest of the tracks are covers, including the Beatles track with a slightly modified text.

The album sold well, but he enjoyed great popularity in America and Germany. The best solo work of one of the best blues and soul singers of Great Britain and the Scottish Queen of blues.

Bigger, Better, Faster, More! is the only studio album released by alternative rock band 4 Non Blondes, released in 1992. The first single was "Dear Mr. President", which bass player Christa Hillhouse told Songfacts "was about the hierarchy of power and government." The second single, "What's Up?", reached No. 1 in several countries and went gold in the United States, while the album itself went platinum, accumulating sales of 1.5 million copies in the United States alone and 6 million copies worldwide.
