One of the new tracks on Old Is New is "Devil's Tower". "We originally recorded this track with Mike and Jeff Porcaro back in 1981 during the sessions for TOTO IV. Modern versions of Romeo and Juliet in verse one and then Hamlet in verse two. The set featured the song 'State Of Love And Trust' from the soundtrack of the 1992 romantic comedy Singles. Along with a handful of tracks from their aforementioned debut album, Ten. "We literally got off the plane from Europe, spent all day in a cavernous sound studio in New York, and did the show that night," explained bassist Jeff Ament. "The last thing you ever want is for it to appear as though you were going through the motions or that you're just putting a product out to do some touring. The records are immortal.
