What began as intimate jam sessions between Craven and Bennetts evolved into a full-fledged band project, built on a dynamic musical chemistry reminiscent of David Gilmour & Rick Wright or Mike Rutherford & Tony Banks. The band's self-titled debut album, Ambient Den, is a cinematic concept record that tells the story of humanity's search for a new home among the stars, culminating in the terraforming of a distant world. Produced by Craven, the album stays true to his signature lush arrangements and layered instrumentation, but the songwriting is a fully collaborative effort. Inspired by the great progressive rock bands of the 1970s, Ambient Den embraces the spirit of musicians creating together in the same room, much like the classic era before success scattered band members across different continents.
