Respuesta: arte pop Roy Lichtenstein (Nueva York, 27 de octubre de 1923 – Nueva York, 29 de septiembre de 1997), pintor estadounidense de pop art, artista gráfico y escultor, conocido sobre todo por sus interpretaciones a gran escala del arte del cómic. Obtuvo el doctorado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad estatal de Ohio en 1949. Sus primeras obras eran de estilo expresionista abstracto, pero después de 1957 comenzó a experimentar con imágenes tomadas de los cómics que había en los papeles de envolver chicles, libremente interpretadas y mezcladas con imágenes sacadas de los cuadros del Viejo Oeste de otro artista estadounidense, Frederic Remington. A partir de 1961 se dedicó por completo a producir arte mediante imágenes comerciales de producción masiva. Sus historietas de cómics, como Good Morning, Darling (1964, Galería Leo Castelli, Nueva York), son ampliaciones de los personajes de los dibujos animados, reproducidas a mano, con la misma técnica de puntos y los mismos colores primarios y brillantes que se utilizan para imprimirlos. Sus últimas obras, entre las que están las reproducciones de personajes muy populares de la novela rosa, paisajes estilizados y copias de postales de templos clásicos, muestran la influencia de Henri Matisse y Pablo Picasso. También sus esculturas recrean los efectos de los cómics. Respuesta: arte pop Andy Warhol Andrew Warhola más conocido como Andy Warhol, fue un artista estadounidense nacido el 6 de agosto de 1928 y que falleció el 22 de febrero de 1987. Fue la figura más destacada del movimiento pop art. Después de una exitosa carrera como ilustrador de revistas y de publicidad, Warhol se hizo famoso en todo el mundo por su trabajo como pintor y cineasta de vanguardia. Como figura pública es recordado por haber estado vinculado a círculos sociales muy diversos, incluso antagónicos, como la bohemia neoyorquina, reconocidos intelectuales, celebridades de Hollywood o ricos aristócratas. Fue un personaje polémico durante su vida - algunos críticos calificaban sus obras como pretenciosas o bromas pesadas - y desde su muerte en 1987 es objeto de numerosas exposiciones retrospectivas, libros y documentales. Respuesta: arte pop Ésa idea de warhol de repetir imágenes, contrastarlas y jugar con las tonalidades nos dió un movimiento que en la actualidad se sigue manejando, en el mismo arte y en los diseños que usamos en la vida cotidiana, son tendencias que van retomándose y adaptándose a nuestros días, Gracias por las imágenes. |
