Un virus extraterrestre se propaga por una base militar controlando las mentes de los residentes del recinto. La colinia alienígena escondida en la base amenaza con acabar con los militares y luego con la tierra. Tres jovenes cuya curiosidad les llevará al Area 51, la legendaria y misteriosa zona situada en el desierto de Nevada, intentarán entrar.
