Sinopsis:

El desencantado abogado Mike Flaherty (Paul Giamatti), que en su tiempo libre es entrenador de un equipo escolar de lucha libre, descubre a una promesa de este deporte al tiempo que se involucra en un cuestionable negocio para poder mantener a su familia.
