Con sus colonias fronterizas destruídas como resultado de una creciente insurrección, la Tierra envía la 8º Infantería Armada (apodada Sección 8), un comando de elite que tendrá por misión repeler la masacre cada vez más próxima. El apodo se refiere a una vieja regulación militar de los EUA en la cual un soldado sería relevado de sus funciones por estar mentalmente incapacitado para el servicio. Las misiones casi suicidas para las cuales se ofrece la 8º Infantería Armada la pone a ojos de otras unidades como una división compuesta por hombres mentalmente alterados. La Sección 8 se depliega “quemando” desde sus naves orbitales de lanzamiento a miles y miles de pies del campo de combate, utilizando el arsenal de combate más avanzado que la tecnología militar es capaz de proveer. Características ·Multijugador: Section 8 es un FPS de ciencia ficción, la máxima experiencia multijugador con partidas de hasta 16 jugadores a la vez. ·Customización: Determina tu rol en el combate a través de la personalización de sus armas y armadura. ·Desplegables: Altera el desarrollo de la lucha llamando a los “desplegables”, y seleccionando misiones por objetivo, que afectan a todo el campo de batalla. ·Lanzamiento orbital: Métete en el combate “quemando” desde 15,000 pies de altura, y checa todo lo que sucede más abajo mientras desciendes a infartante velocidad.
