Laura lleva años destacando en el surf. En 2009 se coronó campeona mundial juvenil y en 2011 se convirtió en profesional, eso además de destacar por su belleza.
Desde marzo de este año compite al más alto nivel en la Liga Mundial de Surf y se ubica novena en el ranking de la Qualifying Series de este circuito
