Elvis Aaron Presley (Tupelo, Misisipi, 8 de enero de 1935 - Memphis, Tennessee, 16 de agosto de 1977), cantante de rock estadounidense e icono de la música popular del siglo XX. Inspiró a muchos cantantes tanto dentro como fuera del género Rock.
Considerado el Rey del Rock and Roll, también protagonizó numerosas películas, muchas de las cuales estuvieron consagradas a sus canciones. A menudo es llamado simplemente Elvis o «El Rey».
A pesar de su muerte, Elvis sigue vendiendo discos y actualmente ha superado la cifra de los 1.000 millones de discos vendidos.
