HISTORIA
"En un futuro muy cercano, se descubre a una enorme raza de insectos navegando por la galaxia. Estos alienígenas se dedican a la erradicación de la especie humana en cuanto ponen sus pies en el Sistema Solar, y se acercan cada vez más a la Tierra. La humanidad ya respondido desarrollando naves espaciales y gigantes robots de combate. Estos robots serán pilotados por los mejores y más brillantes jóvenes de la Tierra, elegidos de las academias de entrenamiento de todo el mundo.

La historia comienza en el año 2023, poco después de la primera batalla contra los alienígenas, y se centra en la joven Noriko Takaya. A pesar de que el padre de Noriko era un famoso capitán del ejército espacial que fue asesinado durante los primeros combates de la guerra, sus habilidades como piloto son incuestionables. No obstante, ha accedido a una escuela de entrenamiento. A lo largo de la serie, Noriko conoce a Kazumi Amano, que le ayudará a superar el trauma de la guerra, las dudas que la abordan y su propia falta de confianza.
