El alcance de la victoria iraní

Irán celebró sus 33 años de resistencia al bloqueo de Estados Unidos y Occidente imponiendo a Washington la necesidad de reconocer a la nación persa como potencia independiente y lo hizo bajo sus propias condiciones. Gracias a la sabiduría de sus líderes, Teherán logró obtener ese reconocimiento, tanto en la forma como en el fondo.

Washington no ha tenido más remedio que reconocer el poderío de Irán y resignarse a aceptar su entrada en el club de los grandes. También ha tenido que reconocer el derecho de Irán a la explotación pacífica de la energía nuclear, sin obtener a cambio ni la menor concesión iraní, ni siquiera en el plano formal.

Estamos viendo el inicio del ascenso de Irán, que resistió durante todos este tiempo a guerras complejas desatadas por enemigos implacables que recurrieron a todos los medios y armas: presiones, amenazas, embargo, bloqueo, sanciones, terrorismo de Estado, asesinato de científicos, guerras secretas, guerras económicas, subversión, etc.

Sin embargo, los gigantescos medios que Estados Unidos, Israel y sus aliados y lacayos desplegaron en esa lucha no lograron acabar con la determinación del pueblo iraní y su amor por la independencia.

Ante esas guerras, Irán ha contado con sus propios medios y ha desarrollado considerablemente sus capacidades militares y tecnológicas, logrando incluso lanzarse a la conquista del espacio. En cooperación con Rusia, China, Corea, Brasil, Venezuela y la India, la República Islámica ha logrado dar pasos de gigante, convirtiéndolo en modelo para los países en vías de desarrollo.

Los ciudadanos iraníes han aceptado enormes sacrificios en aras de salvaguardar la independencia de su país. Y hoy en día finalmente ven realizados los objetivos concebidos desde el inicio de la revolución por sus grandes jefes y estrategas: construir un Estado independiente, dotarlo de los medios necesarios para garantizar la defensa de su independencia y obligar Occidente a reconocerlo. Todos los proyectos y esfuerzos realizados a lo largo de los 33 últimos años apuntaban en ese sentido.

El reconocimiento del poderío iraní por parte de Estados Unidos es la consagración de los nuevos equilibrios en el Medio Oriente, fundamentalmente en la región del Golfo, donde la presencia y el papel político y económico de Irán serán decisivos.

En el plano estratégico, es importante resaltar la importancia de la alianza entre Siria e Irán, que ha promovido y servido de protección a la Resistencia. Esa alianza ayudó grandemente a que Irán lograra construir su modelo independentista en la escena mundial. Si la resistencia de Siria y de su presidente han proporcionado a los pueblos del mundo la posibilidad de liberarse de la hegemonía unilateral de Estados Unidos, la alianza entre Damasco y Teherán sentó las bases de la disuasión ante Israel.

Hoy en día, el jefe de revolución iraní, el ayatola Ali Khamenei, puede proclamar ante los escépticos –cada vez más escasos en Irán– que apostar por la Resistencia y por Siria fue acertado. Se trataba de una importante carta estratégica que ha permitido alcanzar numerosas realizaciones.
