El grupo de rock experimental Laika se formó en Londres en 1993, tomando el nombre del perro que los soviéticos enviaron a la órbita terrestre, la primera criatura terrestre en abandonar la gran bola azul. No es de extrañar que tengan la tendencia de ir donde no haya ido ninguna banda terrestre antes. Primero presentaron una mezcla experimental de Krautrock, música electrónica y jazz en el EP de 1994 “Antenna”. El LP “Silver Apples From the Moon” apareció en el 95. Entre otras de sus ediciones, se incluyen “Sound of the Satellites” (1997) y “Good Looking Blues” (2000).
