Palmarés Olímpico: Oro en Beijing 2008 con la selección de Holanda. Buscarán repetir el título en Londres 2012 con una nómina que incluye a ocho de las campeonas en los pasados olímpicos (incluyéndola): Marilyn Agliotti, Naomi van As, Sophie Polkamp, Maartje Paumen, Goderie Maartje, Lidewij Welten y Eva de Goede. Las otras ocho convocadas son Kim Lammers, Merel de Blaey, Willemijn Bos, Margot van Geffen, Carlien Dirkse van den Heuvel, Kelly Jonker, Kim Lammers, Kitty van Male y Joyce Sombroek (arquera).
Otros logros: Considerada como una de las mejores y más populares jugadoras de Holanda, con el equipo Nacional de Hockey sobre hierba, donde milita desde 2004, ha ganado la Copa de Campeones y el campeonato europeo de 2005 así como el campeonato del mundo en 2006, otra Copa de Campeones en 2007 y nuevamente el campeonato de Europa en 2011.

Ellen Hoog comenzó su séptima hockey. Cinco años más tarde, fue seleccionada para el B holandés, que jugó dos años. En 2003, Ellen van a Juniors y un año después, ella comenzó como la selección holandesa en aanvalster Hockey. Junto con su equipo sabía que en el 2005 Campeón de Europa y Campeón del Mundo en 2006, incluso! Sin embargo, todavía frescos en la mente, es el gran resultado en los Juegos Olímpicos de Beijing: el oro! Ellen ha realizado más de 80 partidos y anotó 13 veces.
Ellen Hoog cuenta en su sitio oficial que “Aunque el hockey es mi pasión, estoy entre la formación y la competencia por el también estudiante. Yo estudié en la Universidad de Amsterdam, los medios de comunicación y gestión de la información. El resto del tiempo, además de hockey y el estudio, dedico activamente dando clínicas y presentaciones de motivación en la perseverancia y llegar a la cima. Otro interés es la moda y la ropa, lo que ocasionalmente hago algunas sesiones de fotos.”
