Bus Simulator 2012 es un simulador de autobuses muy completo. Compras modelos de autobuses, planificas rutas y finalmente ocupas la posición del conductor para cubrir el trayecto que hayas escogido.

La planificación de tu compañía de autobuses te llevará a comprar toda clase de modelos. Al principio, te harás con un pequeño autobus que se mueve por la ciudad en pequeños trayectos. Poco a poco, te harás con autobuses más modernos para recorrer el país entero en grandes rutas. En tu gestión, también tendrás que decidir si contratas publicidad para los laterales de tus autobuses.

Además, Bus Simulator 2012 recrea la conducción de un autobús urbano con mucho detalle. Arrancas el autobús. Conduces hasta la primera parada de tu trayecto respetando las señales de tráfico. Detienes el autobús en el primer apeadero y abres las puertas. Esperas pacientemente a que bajen y suban los pasajeros. Arrancas de nuevo y continúas con tu trayecto.

Por último, Bus Simulator tiene un apartado gráfico correcto, aunque es un juego que para ponerlo al máximo detalle gráfico, necesitarás de un ordenador de gran potencia. El sonido recrea con acierto el sonido del motor de un autobús o cómo se abren y cierran las puertas.
