Rihanna is Esquire UK‘s newest cover girl, gracing the men’s magazine’s July 2012 issue, which will be available on Monday, June 4th. Photographed in East London by Matt Irwin, the sexy Bajan pop star shows off that amazing body, posing topless for the cover and rocking revealing swimsuits with military gear for the spread.
Inside the issue, Ri talks about her “girl crush” on English recording artist Cheryl Cole, her controversial Chris Brown collabo, settling down and more. Read excerpts from her interview below and check out photos from the shoot and behind the scenes footage as well!
On her headline-making antics:
“This is what I do. I live my life and they document it. A lot of things I don’t care for people to know, but it just is. That’s what it’s become.”
On Cheryl Cole:
“Ooh! Cheryl Cole is…hot. I would just like to watch her work. Preferably cleaning things on the floor. Picking up stuff on the floor. Bending over. She’s hot! I mean, literally…she’s so beautiful.’”
On Chris Brown collaboration and controversy:
“I thought people were gonna be surprised that we finally did a record together, but I didn’t see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know? In my mind, it was just music.”
On settling down in 5 years:
‘Hopefully I’ll have a man by then. I’ve gotta start there, right? But how far I go [with my career] is God’s plan.
