Los animales son sacrificados de manera realmente salvaje, luego del cual quedan verdaderos ríos de sangre.

Las costumbres dicen que el sacrificio masivo de los animales borrará sus pecados. Los participantes (hombres, mujeres y niños) cortan cabezas “alegremente” como si se tratara de un deporte en el que gana quien corta más cabezas.
Esta rara y controversial costumbre de Nepal, que consiste en entregar ofrendas matando centenares de animales a la diosa Gadhimai en una fiesta “religiosa” que se celebra durante dos días en la aldea Bariyapur. Los animales son sacrificados de manera realmente salvaje, luego del cual quedan verdaderos ríos de sangre.
