La batería costera de Castillitos es uno de los emplazamientos artilleros de costa que rodean la ciudad costera de Cartagena y protegen su puerto, y probablemente uno de los más importantes. Se empezó a construir en 1933 y estuvo terminada casi por completo en el 36, coincidiendo con la Guerra Civil. En aquella época los cañones estaban totalmente operativos salvo por la falta de una dirección de tiro operativa, que no fue construida hasta terminada la guerra. Las instalaciones estuvieron en uso hasta 1994, momento en el que fueron abandonadas. Por suerte se llevó a cabo una restauración bastante completa y a fecha de hoy es posible visitar el lugar con seguridad.
