SINOPSIS: Serie de TV emitida a principios de los 80 basada en unas historietas del belga Pierre Culliford (AKA Peyo). Ambientada en la Edad Media, en la aldea de los pitufos todas las casas son hongos o setas. Se visten igual: pantalOn blanco y gorro frigio blanco, a excepciOn del Gran Pitufo / PapA Pitufo, que usa un atuendo rojo. El es quien dirige la aldea, debido a su avanzada edad y su conocimiento de la magia.
Gargamel, un brujo poseedor del gato Azrael, siempre tratarA de capturar a los pitufos con trampas, fundamentalmente porque son un ingrediente necesario para conseguir la transmutaciOn de los metales, y asI fabricar oro, y, tambiEn, con el objeto de preparar con ellos la 'sopa de pitufos', un legendario plato exquisito de sabor irrepetible. La serie se ramificO en varias pelIculas, siendo la prOxima una estrenada este 2008 y que celebrarA el 50º aniversario de los personajes.
