La técnica creada por Macku, consiste en transformar la emulsión fotográfica expuesta y fijada de su base original en el papel. Esta sustancia transparente y plástica de la gelatina permite formar y reformar de nuevo las imágenes originales, cambiando sus relaciones y dotándolas con nuevos significados durante la transferencia. El trabajo acabado da una imagen compacta con una estructura superficial fina. Creado en papel fotográfico de gran calidad, cada Gellage es una impresión altamente durable y perfectamente satisfecha para recoger y exhibir. La tecnología laboriosa, que incluye a menudo el uso más que un negativo por imagen, hace imposible producir impresiones absolutamente idénticas: Cada Gellage es una obra de arte original. El artista hace por lo menos 12 firmados e impresiones numeradas de cada imagen.
