Lorenzo Sperlonga nació en Roma en 1969. A la edad de 16 años, comenzó su carrera como ilustrador y diseñador gráfico para agencias de publicidad y editoriales pequeñas. En esos primeros años, pronto se dio cuenta de que la pintura era su verdadera vocación, y poco a poco se centró sus intereses artísticos enteramente hacia la ciencia ficción, fantasía y erotismo.

Sensualidad y contrastes. llama la atención que las mujeres de Lorenzo Sperlonga son audaces, fuertes, indomables, como en la mayoría de ilustradores, que las magnifican convirtiéndolas en diosas o guerreras invencibles, pero aquí no faltan las excepciones como muñecas de mostrar o situaciones cotidianas, sin faltar su toque de irreverencia.

Buen ejemplo el de este par. Una bella mujer haciéndose la toilet, o lo que diríamos hoy, "lavado de gato", y una guerrera desafiante portando una sofisticada ballesta:

Pero también hay otros contrastes curiosos. En una se muestra a una mujer que bien podría estar anunciando el último modelo de carro con una delicada sensualidad, mientras la otra, nos manda para el carajo, aunque no queda claro si también lo hace con el imperio británico, o la "pistola" la hace en su nombre:

Y qué tal éstas. Mientras la una refleja casi una discreta sensualidad, en la otra se muestra el sadomasoquismo desbordante:
