A-ha es una banda noruega (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noruega) perteneciente al estilo pop rock (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_rock) (aunque en la década de los 80 (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/A%C3%B1os_1980) se les cosideraba rock (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock), techno (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techno) y New Wave (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Wave)). El trío está integrado por el guitarrista/compositor y co-fundador del grupo Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Waaktaar-Savoy), el teclista/compositor y co-fundador Magne Furuholmen (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magne_Furuholmen) y el vocalista Morten Harket (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morten_Harket) quien fue el último en integrarse en el grupo.
El grupo, desde su regreso en 2000 (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000), realiza las giras con los músicos: Per Lindvall en la batería (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bater%C3%ADa_%28instrumento_musical%29), Sven Lindvall en el bajo (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bajo_%28instrumento_musical%29) y Christer Karlsson en el teclado (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teclado_%28instrumento_musical%29). Antes de pertenecer a a-ha, Morten cantaba en un grupo local llamado Soldier Blue (http://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Soldier_Blue&action=edit&redlink=1), mientras que Paul y Magne formaron su primer grupo, Bridges (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridges_%28grupo%29).
El nombre del grupo proviene de la canción Nothing To It de 1982/1983 que, al final, decidieron nunca publicar. Paul comprobó en varias fuentes que "a-ha" es una palabra de carácter positivo y que además era corta, fácil de recordar y que significaba lo mismo en inglés (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingl%C3%A9s) que en noruego (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noruego) (era una palabra internacional en general).
