Las obras del artista asturiano Máximo Riera rozan la perfección, sus creaciones hiperrealistas reflejan la vitalidad de los animales a la vez que unifican lo estático del mobiliario. "Octopus": La silla pulpo fue la primera pieza de su colección de sillas animales.La silla pulpo fue la primera pieza de su colección de sillas animales, recientemente ha publicado dos trabajos mas, la silla rinoceronte y el sillón morsa.


Para su elaboración fueron necesarios varios pasos que cuidaban el detalle hasta el mínimo. Sobre un boceto del mismo Máximo se empezaron a trabajar imágenes infográficas tridimensionales que fueron procesadas por potentes programas de diseño. Las imágenes 3D producidas por el software son introducidas en un ordenador que las interpreta y las talla, a través de una turbina operada por un brazo mecánico, las distintas piezas deben ser posteriormente unidas y pintadas a mano.
