Pues eso, una recopilación de las tiras cómicas que se publicaban en varios diarios o periódicos de los estados unidos desde 03 de Enero de 1979 al 28 de Enero de 1989.
Salieron recopiladas en dos suculentos tomos de Panini Comics, de formato apaisado y con su correspondiente blanco y negro.

A principios de los años 90, The Punisher vivió su momento de gloria editorial llegando a mantener 3 series mensuales simultáneas, algo que sólo estaba al alcance de los grandes mitos del comic: Spiderman, Batman y Superman. Además, protagonizaba múltiples miniseries y especiales, prestigios y novelas gráficas, propias y ajenas, sirviendo en muchas ocasiones de mero gancho para atraer a sus fans.

Y esto es lo que ocurre básicamente en esta novela gráfica de 1992 que fue publicada dos años más tarde por Forum en formato prestigio, con un Castigador que hace de mera comparsa en esta aventura de la Viuda Negra guionizada por D.G. Chichester con dibujos de Larry Stroman. Yo, como podéis comprobar, piqué; pero bueno, la historia es entretenida.

Como afectaron al mundo y en que momento extendieron su influencia, ha permanecido en las sombras..... Hasta ahora...

Halcón es un heroe por derecho propio, un tipo con habilidad e iniciativa, seguro de si mismo, casi prepotente... pero ¿quien no lo sería?, con un sentido del humor y una actitud "ligera" ante la vida que le ha convertido en uno de los Vengadores mas queridos por el público, pero esta fachada esconde a un hombre responsable capaz de sobrellevar el liderazgo de un grupo... y sobretodo un autentico heroe, un tio con unas agallas increibles, pues es facil encararse con Hulk si eres Thor, pero no tanto si solo tienes un par de flechas explosivas.

Pero pese a todo esto, nuestro heroe esta acostumbrado a que sus oponentes le menosprecien, a que piensen que es el punto debil de los vengadores, como ocurre en este comic donde, ayudado por Firestar y Justicia, le va a dar una buena sorpresa al misterioso villano de turno... que como suele pasar, ve en nuestro heroe una presa facil para su maquiavélico plán.... veamos si esta en lo cierto o no... y si cae en el mismo error de unos cuantos enemigos que entre rejas cuentan los dias de reclusión pintando palitos en las paredes de la Boveda... como diria Halcón con una mueca sonriente "Aficionados..."

Iron Fist es un superhéroe ficticio de la Marvel Comics El personaje fue creado por Roy Thomas y Gil Kane y su primera aparición fue en el cómic Marvel Premiere #15 (1974).
Daniel Rand es el hijo de Wendell Rand, el exiliado heredero al trono de la ciudad extradimensional de K'un-Lun. Tras pasar años en la Tierra como empresario de éxito, Wendell decidió regresar a su patria natal. Exploró junto a su esposa Heather, su hijo Daniel y su compañero de negocios Harold Meachum las montañas tibetanas en busca del nexo con K'um-Lun. Para asumir el control de la sociedad que ambos constituían, Meachum llevó a Wendell a la muerte y dejó a Heather y a Daniel a su suerte. Sólo Daniel, con 9 años, vivió para ver la ciudad mística.
Daniel fue reconocido como miembro de sangre real, y entrenado rigurosamente en los aspectos físicos y filosóficos de las artes marciales. Con 19 años, se enfrentó a su rito de iniciación: la oportunidad de conseguir el poder del "Iron Fist" derrotando al dragón Shou-Lao, el Inmortal. Daniel lo logró, y consiguió, además de un arañado de dragón en el pecho, el poder de concentrar toda su energía espiritual en el puño y volverlo tan fuerte como el hierro.

Héroes de Alquiler pasó por varias formaciones, e incluso, durante algún tiempo, los dos amigos expandieron a nivel mundial la contratación de la empresa y empezaron a realizar misiones a escala global.
Muchos de los oponentes de Iron Fist han sido aquellos que desean desposeerle de su título y reclamar su poder para ellos. Sin embargo, la mayoría ha acabado aprendiendo una dura lección: intentar derrotar a Iron Fist es una estupidez. Daniel es un arma viviente. El haber conseguido la iluminación derrotando al dragón Shou-Lao otorga a Daniel un control absoluto sobre su mente, su cuerpo, su espíritu y sus poderes. Es, en pocas palabras, el mayor experto en artes marciales del mundo.

"Soy un niño del atomo... Y naci por una razon."

En un futuro oscuro, los mutantes Barnum y Kadee Bishop dieron a luz a un hijo. Mientras los humanos perseguian a los mutantes. Son detectados por centinelas mientras volaban hacia America y el joven Lucas pasa los primeros años de su vida en una campamento de detencion mutante. El pequeño escucha partes de historias de su abuela y otros en el campamento. Cuentos de cuna se vuelven casi susurros sobre valientes heroes mutantes que una vez lucharon por un mundo donde los mutantes y los humanos pudieran vivir en paz. La llegada de "el bebe" y otras historias de un monstruo pelirrojo que algunas llaman Esperanza y otros Desesperacion.

El pequeño Lucas Bishop resiste su dolorosa existencia entre las paredes del campamento. Como cualquier niño no puede hacer nada contra eso, como los demas miembros de su familia es castigado y desfigurado con el terrible tatuaje de "M". Incluyendo a su pequeña hermana Shard. Luego sus padres son asesinados en la rebelion Summers, donde los mutantes del camapamento se revelan en un intento de escape.

El joven mutante milagrosamente escapa del campamento gracias a la rebelion. Solo en las calles, robando para sobrevivir. Hasta que un dia se encuentra con un viejo hombre que dice haber estado en las antiguas y buen epocas. Que dice haber conocido a los X-Men...

En su vida, el mutante Lucas Bishop ha sido cazado, arrebatado y vencido. Paso su niñez en un campamento para mutantes y sus años de adolescente robando en las mega-ciudades del futuro, todo mientras se preguntaba ¿Como es que las cosas salieron tan mal?

De chico escucho las historias que su abuela le contaba, historias para dormir sobre valientes heroes mutantes que una vez pelearon por un mundo dodne los humanos y los mutantes puedan vivir en paz, la llegada del "bebe" y otros cuentos sobre el monstruo pelirrojo que algunos llamaban Esperanza y otros Desesperacion. Si solo hubiera una forma de volver al pasado y cambiar las cosas...

Nada de esto parece importarle ahora. Bishop es responsable de proteger a su hermana Shard, robando para mantenerse. Durante una pelea, los poderes mutantes latentes de Bishop se manifiestan y es reclutado por los protectores de la seguridad de Xavier, la policia mutante.

Esto acorta sus esperanzas de vida, mientras realizaban una mision para traer al oficial renegado de X.S.E Fitzroy, son atacados y le cuesta la vida a su hermana. Esto lo lleva a copiar su esencia en una matriz holografica, Bishop es consumido por su ira y va tras Fitzroy.
