Carmen is a member of a terrorist gang who falls in love with a young police officer guarding a bank that she and her cohorts try to rob. She leads him on while dragging the two of them closer to their ultimate doom. Jean-Luc Godard intercuts the film with shots of a string quartet practicing Beethoven, and his main protagonist, Carmen, is played by Maruschka Detmers creating a stunning effect in many scenes of extended nudity.

Rome, 1850. In prison, two young men, Bernardino and Mamonne, condemned for murder wait their own death penalty to be executed, and pass their last hours telling each other lust and castration stories (4 flash-blacks). The first story involves a duc and a clergyman castrating themselves, while the lusty duchess and a lusty countrygirl are left alone. The second story is about a Calabrese shepherd who leads his unfaithful wife to eat her lover's testicles, supposing they were from cattle. The third story deals with the castration of a priest by the young man after whom he was lusting. And the last story is about a different sort of menage-a-trois.

Frigga lives with her parents on their farm. Unable to speak after being horrifically raped by an elderly man when she was young, her parents spend the majority of their money on speech therapy classes for their daughter in the hope that one day, she will speak again. One day, Frigga misses the bus to get to her speech therapy class. She accepts a ride off a suave looking gentlemen named Tony who pulls up beside her. Once they are in town, he takes her for a meal. Afterwards, he takes Frigga back to what appears to be his bachelor pad. He gives her wine that has probably been drugged, as she passes out after drinking it. The man then takes no time in bringing a crooked doctor in to get her fixed on high class heroin. After announcing to Frigga that she is now dependent on heroin and cannot last more than 48 hours without it, she must work as a prostitute for him. Frigga, obviously not thrilled by this news...
