Sinopsis

Blu es un guacamayo que nunca ha aprendido a volar y vive agradablemente con su dueña y mejor amiga Linda en un pequeño pueblo de Estados Unidos. Blu y Linda creen que él es el último de su especie hasta que se enteran de que hay una hembra en Río de Janeiro, por lo que se embarcan hacia las exóticas tierras de Brasil para encontrarla. Pero al llegar, Blu y la hembra Jewel son raptados. Con la ayuda de varias aves Blu logra escapar y antes de regresar con Linda vivirá increíbles aventuras como, por ejemplo, aprender a volar como un pájaro de verdad.
